I hate that color scheme and deco beyond words.

If I decide I really need a Hot Shot homage, I will buy this and remove the head, paint it, and stick it on an Arms Micron Bumblebee, which is a very nice Hot Shot yellow without stripes. And for Hot Shot, the ugly Micron ports on the AM Bumblebee are even thematically fitting.

By the way, is this head sculpt from the canceled TFA Hot Shot? It seems familiar, but I don't have a picture of that handy.

Lol, I'm sure it's certainly not, but the resemblance is insane, isn't it?

I agree with the remarks that this mold works better this time around. There's no expectations for screen-accuracy, and the proportions and overall build are different enough to feel like a somewhat unique character.

Plus, besides the Minicon ports, I think the TFP character design's huge "My shoulders hurt" look actually fits Hot Shot better than Bumblebee.

Looks pretty fun. I'll give the mold a chance with Hot Shot.

I don't completely hate this mold with these colors and head sculpt, as was the case with BB. Don't know if I'll pick it up though I try and limit my self to only collecting on screen characters. Has there been any verification that he'll actually be in the show?

I think this guy looks great, and I like the deco and head sculpt. I admit I sort of don't understand the hate this mold gets. I don't own it, as I have FE 'Bee, but in every pic I've seen it looks fine to me. Maybe FE Bee doesn't have that neck hinge, but this guy doesn't have the car roof folding weirdly behind the windows, so they sort of break even as far as I can tell.

I like that this figure adds another wrinkle to the whole convoluted relationship between Bumblebee/Rodimus/Hot Shot/Sideburn, as well.

Looking to be my favorite deluxe of the line so far. Love the headsculpt and the deco. Would really like to see him on the show...

Those pics seal the deal, I was a little on the fence with Hot Shot, but knowing he has a much improved head sculpt and it doesn't look just like BB, this figure will gladly join my Prime Collection.

For one thing, it allows me to own this version of the Bumblebee mold that isn't another damn yellow version of Bumblebee, and it also gives me a chance to feature other characters in the Prime universe truly harking back to the past and prooving that the 'Aligned' continuity is the 'Ultimate' Hasbro Continuity. (Until they decide to change their minds.)

Now bring on the Cliffjumper repaint as Tailgate, or somebody else with a new head sculpt. Personally I do not hate the molds, any mold has its merits if you look hard enough, I'm just tired of buying doubles, triples, quadruples and quintuplets of the same ruddy character with the same basic paint job.

Hot Shot actually looks decent in those pictures, the new head sculpt especially. Since I preordered him along with Knockout and Vehicon on BBTS, I think I might enjoy his deco on the BB RiD mold (I have FE Bee in my PoL). That and give his twin blasters to FE Bee for more show accuracy. XD

I'll probably get this. Not right away, but I will eventually. Maybe when there's a sale.

Funny, because FE 'Bee was generally praised for that, for not being another hood-chest Autobot with a roof on his back.

Another thing that bugs me about this deco is that if they really were so dead set on making Hot Shot a dark blue, they really should have changed the color of the clear plastic. The blue headlights work on Bumblebee, even though they aren't show-accurate or realistic, because of the contrast between the yellow and the blue. But on this Hot Shot, the clear blue just gets lost. The whole thing is so poorly thought out.
