After a pretty good episode 6, we had the amazingly terrible episode 7 even by armada standards, and then just a so-so episode 8, I thought this series was going to suffer from bad writing and a ton of crappy filler. Episode 9 rocked though, hopefully the series can keep a good pace without too many episode 7 filler crap.

I don't know what you were watching but Episode #007 of Transformers: Prime (titled "Scrapheap") was an AMAZING episode, really well-written and acted.

Well said mate. Not to mention how this episode demonstrated just how cute and extremely deadly the scraplets can be. Hopefully we might see more of them during the course of this series.

So I saw somebody that liked Masters and Students, thought Scraplkets was super shit and Con Job so so.

Can't say I agree in any way.

I don't think it had anything to redeem itself for.

See, I thought 6 and 7 were really good, 8 was good but not great, and 9 was very average

It's been getting better, but this last ep was a little...meh to me. The train thing was pretty predictable. I do like the trailer nod though.

I've liked them all so far, but this week's episode I thought was the best yet.

While they've all been pretty good, Convoy is the one I've enjoyed the most so far. I want to see where the human villains are going to go.

if you look at it from another perspective, prime has been introducing new plot points to the audience.

In scraplets you see ratchet warming up to the humans and the kids actually being useful in the series for once.

In con job you see new character wheeljack and the mention of the wreckers.

In convoy we have an evil human organisation, we'll see how this one goes.

I think its good to feed the audience to these things little by little.

You can't redeem yourself in 1 episode. 1 good episode doesn't mean a great series. I'll wait until we see a proper solid plot like Beast Wars. Then I'll make a choice. So far however, I'm not impressed.

My thoughts on the episodes so far:

Masters and Students: Pretty lame. The plot didn't really go anywhere, and the character they introduced was just killed off. Really boring.

Scrapheap: A good episode. The humans were useful, and it showed that there are enemies beyond the Decepticons.

Con Job: Pretty awesome. The character of Wheeljack was very interesting, and the mention of the Wreckers really has me interested in what's next.

Convoy: This is probably one of the best. Filled with action, well written, and it's really where the universe of Prime starts to take on a larger size. Fowler's role is pretty large and that's always a plus.

I thought Masters and Students was okay, Scrapheap was amazing, Con Job was pretty terrible, and Convoy was the single best episode yet. Just my opinion. But really, what the heck did TF: Prime have to redeem itself for in the first place? It's a spectacular show.

I think Convoy was actually the weakest episode so far.
I liked the concept behind the episode. But the execution felt clunky. It's like they had a good idea, but didn't think it all the way through, and the end result feels thrown together.
It was entertaining enough, action wise. But in case of writing, it was actually somewhat poor.

So far, imo, Scrapheap is the best episode for me, writing wise. That felt like someone was really putting thought into the characters and their circumstances. We need more episodes with the writing quality of episode 7.

So not setting the entire focus of each episode to an ongoing plot is badly written filler?

    Nigga please.

I think the OP is under the delusion that Prime is in fact supposed to be set in a "plot of the week" style where the episodes are so individually contained that they could be watched in any order and still make sense. As in how the original G1 cartoon was written.
