So I bought Voyager Starscream yesterday and it's really not a bad figure. However, DO NOT put his giant glow gun on his arm. I did just for the lulz and the port cracked. Its not to noticeable, and his missle still pegs in nicely, but I just thought that anyone planning on getting this figure should be warned.

Should've started this thread with something along the lines of "bring medical kit".

Yeah, when I pegged the giant blaster into the port on my Voyager. Starscream the port got a big 'ol stress mark.:(

:lol  another reason to hate the Prime mech tech weapons.

Aside from Megatron's I've left them all in the box.

It's a little snug, but no problem on mine. Did it a few times too to be sure.

Gladly got rid of most of my Prime figures, save a few. Going to be very selective on which figures I get from this line from now on.

I think I'll stick with my First Edition Starscream, which I got at retail and thus for cheaper than what the Voyager goes for. But I suppose one could gently shave or sand down the pegs or within the ports as a precaution when they first get this to avoid a crack. Actually, that might not be a bad idea with any of these Voyagers and their weapons. Or Microns. Thankfully Megatron seems fine, and while Breakdown does have a slight stress/crack in the port on the roof, it seems to be on the inside and doesn't appear to be getting worse.

I just hate MechTech weapons, end of story. It sucks to hear that something so obvious would cause problems. That's stupid.

I only have one Powerizer, which is Megatron, and his weapon is fine (although I removed the spring and one of the cog pieces so that I can freely transform his weapon), but the rest look so stupid.

I've got the Arms Micron Voyager Prime instead, and despite the stupid stickers, he comes with a much better gun than the Hasbro version (plus, they are cheaper than buying the Hasbro releases for me, since Transformers prices over here are about double of what they are in the US).

I wish they'd do away with the gimmicky weapons. They just frustrate me. I like the Arms Microns because they DO something. They're gimmicky weapons that WORK. The MechTech weapons don't. Look at Dreadwing - his gun could have been replicated perfectly (I mean, how hard is it to make a big barrel? The Cyberverse even got it right), but instead, they opted for some STUPID version that folds up into God-knows-what.

I don't have that problem but I still don't like the Mechtech weapon. Maybe I would if it would actually lock in weapon mode. It doesn't look like anything in its default mode

I have a solution to that.

    THROW THE DAMN GUN AWAY.

Seriously. It looks like shit anyways and you can probably find better shapeways stuff.

The gun is okay fully extended - in its transformed state it looks like one of Starscream's main arm cannons. That said I'd have preferred non-gimmick weapons, or ones that clipped over his hands like in the show.
