i've got one opened and one sitting MOSC and im trying to figure out if anyone else finds that soundwave neck either sits straight up or all the wy forward. The Spring in the neck seems to push the head either all the way down, or, if you close the back with the neck still upright it kind of wedges the neck straight up (like "at attention Soundwave)

in short it just feels like his articulation on his head ends up somewhat limited. which is fine if its 'normal' im just trying to figure if my Soundwave is a little jinked in the neck and if i should return it and open the one i have MOSC. If this perfectly normal than ill just keep the one if have and sell the MOSC to a guy in town (saves him the hunt at TRU)

can't find my camera right now- but i figure if anyone else has noticed this it would make sense what im saying

Yeah I just thought it was supposed to be that way. I just have him standing hunched over, so it really doesn't bother me. But yeah, it is looser than average

It's because of the spring pop up head gimmick. It's not a QC issue; it's the way the figure is designed.

Yeah, I wish the whole pop up head gimmick wasn't there. It'd be nice to have his creepy face be able to emote more.

I think I saw in one video that you can pop the panel behind his head and put it back the other way and it sort of locks the head better on. Not sure what it does for the neck.

Don't have mine on hand yet, but it's probably like the purple animated shockwave...

Trying popping off the rear backpack engine piece, and rotating it 180 degrees horizontally and popping it back on.

So, just thinking. If you rotated the nosecone like others have said, do you still have the issue? Assuming you have not done already.

Hunched over head out of the package.

Should look like this. Head is much more articulate.

He just looks so weird standing straight. Everything about the design says hunchback.

Yeah, he's supposed to be hunched. The low neck doesn't hamper his articulation any. When you turn his head, his neck slides up to provide the right clearance.

It's all about options for display/play. I personally like the freer range of head articulation and added height of the DIY mod. YMMV.

Yup. Personally I'm not fussed by the hunch either. I tried the turning the engine block thingy around and decided I prefer it better the first way so I changed it back.
    I'm happy with Hunchwave.

Just tried rotating the engine port, but it looks really funny that way. Hunched is the way to go for me.
