I haven't seen this one before- that that doesn't mean someone else didn't do it so if I copied anyone, then sorry.

I was thinking about Headmasters a while back, and was skipping through some when I came across Nightbeat and thought that PRiD Hot Shot was perfect: Blue 2 door car with flames and hood guns.

SO I thought it would be a simple partswap of Bumblebee and Hot Shot. Nope. A few parts were able to carry over, but the spray paint had to be used.

    Sorry- no transforming head.

But I was able to get the yellow lower door panels, yellow under hood panels, yellow upper legs and yellow chest. I'm leaving the head alone.

This is still a WIP; I have to put the antennae on the head, put some silver on his arms just above his hands, and I have a severe stress mark on one of his arms that I need to paint over.

I go back and forth about whether I should put any silver paint on his feet, ot leave them black. The red stays.

    Thanks for looking.

    That is really cool :thumb

As for stress marks, they can most often come out by simply using a hair dryer on the part.

Not bad, gave an otherwise useless mold some purpose, I just might have to copy this if he ever shows up around here.....prid pickings have been scarce for me.

Thanks. This was, to me at least, a no-brainer that had to be done. Admittedly, I didn't put enough thought into it and made more work for myself than necessary.
Not in this case- when wrestling with the door panel I bent the arm in half- almost breaking it! It's still intact- but I'm gonna paint it.

The Door Panel is what gives the otherwise "chinsy" robot arm strength. HAS glued it in place. Now most of the time it's no big deal to pop off the door panel by separating the pieces with a small screwdriver, but on that 1 piece they must have used a lot of glue.

I'll repaint it, and glue it proper when I declare myself "done". It'll be fine.

    Thanks tho.

What about the feet- paint them or leave them?

I'm thinking about just leaving them. I think the rest of the bot carries a strong enough Nightbeat look.

I always imagined this mold as being perfect for IDW Skids.

When first saw hotshot I knew this had to be done (even looked at doing it myself) but have no skills where pins are concerned,
I'm just glad someone did it, its amazing how a little bit of yellow really makes him pop,
I like it, add more yellow, keep the red and paint the feet same gray as his body
