A few... not as many as I had hoped.

But I do have a Bumblebee that looks like he's wearing blue jeans :)

Not too many heads for PRIME available yet.
Besides, I know this size fits, and the nobs on the side of the head were perfec for the antennae clips I just happened to have. Combine that with an existing appropriate head paint scheme, it just made too much sense to run with the existing head.

    Thank you tho.

Looks like a PRiD BB or Hot Shot blaster combined with Power Core Combiner Huffer's partner Caliburst (or at least the cannon part of him).

Like the way you did this, Bellpeppers. Looks good.

Looks great! My only critique would be to paint his face orange to differentiate from the Hot Shot, but that's a minor suggestion. Nice work.

I really like how this turned out. My hopes for him being a possible base for a "Classics" style Nightbeat are as dead as I thought when I bought a pair to investigate, but he looks VERY rocking as a Prime style Nightbeat.

I could see the series doing cool stuff with him too ;)

Parts swapping for Nightbeat? Good call! I like it.

I feel like I'd rather see just a bit more yellow in there...

What brand & color of paints did you use and where did you source those antennas for the head?

The antennae... couldn’t tell ya. It’s been almost 6 years. Back then I was ripping apart all sorts of figures for different things.

The paint: the silver on his feet were... I think? Dupli*Color silver spray paint I got in an Auto Zone or similar place. I used some cheap Wal Mart black spray paint. The yellow was probably another Dupli*Color spray paint I got at the car parts store.
The only reason I remember the brand is because I still have a couple cans of the stuff in my filthy garage.

Kinda curious: after all this time how did you find this thread?

I've been sitting on sealed PRIME Bumblebee and Hotshot deluxes for years, in the hope that one day I'll replicate your custom because it works so goddamn well as a PRIME universe Nightbeat.

Only thing is that I'll probably take it further with the paint and color him as close to G1 as possible, especially in the face.

And you remembered this custom after all this time? Damn. That actually means a lot to me.

I wish I could help you out more. I'm pretty sure about the brand- just not color specifics. I think I just grabbed a standard looking yellow. I remember using automobile paint as opposed to Testors or anything else you'd find in a hobby shop.
The ear parts... been wracking my brain all night, but for the life of me can't remember. Not even 100% sure they were even TF parts. They likely were. I just flat out cannot remember.

And right now I don't even know where this figure went. Into a tote... man, not that I have Detolf cases I should dig it back out.
If I can even find it.
