try blue led to compliment the purple. dark blue LED should do the trick. I dont know how to install, but i do have some LED stuff on Transformers so try it out and see if it works :)

Brushed metal looks sweet. Is that in the mold?

There is a brushed metal effect in the molding, but this is masterfully done regardless of that. The black panel lining is especially nice.

Ribieconvoy is correct, the brushed metal lines are indeed in the mold. The trick is making sure to put paint down thin enough to not fill the detail.

There are 7 layers of paint, a primer, a custom mixed dark aluminum (part Model Master Acrylic Aluminum and Gun Metal), a Gun Metal darkening spray around cracks, crevices and details, a gun metal wash along all detail edges, then a gun metal wipe into the recessed brushed metal lines, a straight aluminum dry brush and finally a clear coat. Unfortunately the photo makes it much brighter than it actually is, the look really comes very close to matching his look on the show.

    Thank you for the compliments!

Are you going to do the Dark Energon "veins" like he has in the show?

yea...I'm debating about that...I've considered some paint apps for that, but I think I'm just going to limit it to the LEDs in the clear parts. Although...I thought about recasting the lower legs in clear resin so I could light the lower legs too...but probably not on this one. But shooting for the look in the attached image.

Nice job on yours by the way!

Thanks! I did mine on a lark (really I did the whole thing in one night) and it came out far better than I expected.

Well, you really did capture the look from show and I kept yours and the other one posted on here in the back of my mind as I thought about how I was going to approach mine. Both have very distinct qualities going for them!
