so last week i was at walmart for 1st time this year and finaly saw a CV camander optimus prime w dvd but it was 10$ and dlx class figs now go for 12.99$ so what i want to know is are we going to get CV canmaders with out DVD,s and the normal 7$ and dlx's for DOTM was 11.99 at first but june 2011 there cost was 9$
'The price went up threads' are regular enough, but i don't think i've seen one in a while. Walmart's pricing shouldn't necessarily be taken as an indicator of what the toys cost the retailer, or what the consumer would usually be paying. 1) Normal prices for the US, i believe. 2) Was 7.00 ever the actual, pre-discount, price of CV Commanders, Prime or DOTM? 3) 11.99 instead of 12.99 is because the wholesale price of DOTM DXs was lowered compared to the ROTF. 9.00 was an incentive price, and the retailer was probably breaking even at most to attract people into the shop. You may also get at least one overseas member telling you how good you have it in the US, and that DXs cost $25 where they live.
CV Commanders were about $8 at the beginning... preview Optimus was $10, but the first wave of regular ones were $8 at WalMart and Target. Deluxes were never $9 regularly. If they ever were, it was a sale. They were $10 for a long time (again, at WalMart and Target), but by DotM they've been about $12.
Cyberverse Commanders are about a dollar more this time around. Deluxes have been $12.99 "Regular Price" since Movie 2 in a lot of places. Wait around, and you'll be able to get them on sale for $10 or less.
the prime cyberverse commanders are well engineered toys, but i still feel it's kinda rip off paying what used to be the dx price for a now slightly smaller scout toys.
I'm wondering if the CV Prime Commanders are a little more complex than the DOTM ones? That said.......i miss Scouts. Some of the ROTF/NEST/HFTD ones were very well done. I laughed just loud enough for my co-workers to give me some very strange looks.
Shit, when I was in Korea last month, the HA Basic figures were like $20 and the DOTM Voyagers were a little over $40
