Hello , here is the situation. I have a loose Brave Maximus figure complete to my knowledge. And I am considering putting it up for sale. I am interested in feedback on what the going rate is on him currently. So any and all help in this matter is greatly appreciate it, thank you kindly!

Ok so $250 - 400 seems to be the range here. Well I just little while ago heard about an alternate version of Brave Maximus. How are you or would I be able to tell for sure which one it is as I received BM in a trade a few years ago. And to my knowledge the guy I got BM from was the first and only owner prior to the transaction. I don't know if the version would make a difference but I want to know so I am not intentionally misleading a potential buyer either. Again any input to either of these situation is welcomed.

I think they were $150-200 new back when they first came out.. Now I'd agree with the $250 - 400 estimate.. and that is loose.

I'm sorry, they're just joking with a misplaced decimal, it's really $2.50 US, and I'll take it.

Okay, I'm the one who's really kidding. Some of the prices I've seen have been anywhere from $279 - 345 US in the last few months. Not sure how you'd find the difference between the versions, but I'm sure someone will be able to tell you. Stinks you'd have to part with it, and even more that I don't have the money to buy it from ya. Best of luck!

Only variation that I'm aware of is the Autobot symbol on the tower. If, while in base mode the symbol is right side up then you have the Japanese release. If it's upside down then you have the Korean release. Other than that I think they are the same regarding quality, etc. To the best of my knowledge anyway.

And I would second the price range. I watched one that ended on eBay this week for 27X.XX plus shipping.

There is actually a third version. However highly unlikely that you have it. There was a Campaign Prize during Robot Masters. It was brave max but it included EVERYTHING. Weapons as well as cog and grommet. Did it come with a sword? I can't remember.

I don't think any version of Brave Maximus used the sword.

There's also a Car Robots version that had all the weapons? Or am I getting mixed up with the Robot Masters one there? I could have sworn Car Robots had a limited run LD version with the weapons as well.

I just sold mine about a week ago (loose/complete), the going rate on eBay seemed to be about $350. I listed my here on the boards for $400 OBO and just waited until someone gave me an offer of $350 and took it. I set the asking price a bit high but that was more to keep the offers honest cuz people love to haggle :D  ... and I figured if someone just flat out gave me $400 for it WTF, right?

To be honest any amount of money is worth it as long as you are happy with what you got. Says the person who spend 400 for his and I am still excited about getting him.

I have the Korean release, and aside from the upside down, factory-applied label, it's the same exact figure. The text on the package is different of course, too. The Korean release is an "official" release, just in case there may be any confusion on that.

Others have summed up the quotes well. :thumb

Where I am, the Korean release (Sonokong) tend to sell lower than its Takara cousin.

Price difference is as much as 20%! :drunk
