I found one locally, looking at the price for my self-Christmas present. It's got some yellowing on the front, but looks to be mib and complete. It's wrapped in plastic and taped, so I couldn't check without the clerk's permission. I was there looking at other stuff and only snapped this quick photo for research. I hear the Greek is a more common one so I don't want my pants pulled down pricewise.

    Any insight from the pros?

If the toys are minty, and everything complete....$300

If all accessories are on sprue, paperwork is sealed, and toys are minty...$350

I see the Greek sets frequently for sale.

Thanks dude, that's helpful. I'll have to take a closer look at their condition. Are these supposed to be metal or plastic chest versions?

Is that a comic book store or a store for vintage toys? And is that a blue or turqoise G2 Grimlock showing up from the bottom of the picture? Sweet find by the way!

They're the plastic chest versions, if my set is anything to account for. I have no clue what they go for, though. I got mine at around 1994...95?

Is that Richfield or New Hope? I can't think of any place else in town that would have something like that available.

Honestly, I can't tell whether or not it's due to the camera (phone) you used to take this picture or not, but the toys inside look like they're suffering from a bit of yellowing (or greening in the case of Hot Spot). I'd strongly suggest having a closer look at the quality of the gift set's contents if I were you.

Is the Greek one usually more expensive?

It is the cheapest of all versions.
    In terms of pricing.....
    Greek....Most affordable
    Japanese....Comparable to JP Menasor
US....tough to find in nice shape, pricey.
US misb......Good Luck at any price!!!

It's a comic shop with a lot of vintage toys, card games etc., and that is a sealed G2 Grimlock.
    The Richfield locale.
No, you're seeing it right, there is yellowing/greening. It's a shame too, I'll probably pass on it because of the sun damage.

    That's a shame. :(

Honestly, I know the gift sets are in high demand, but I personally prefer loose Transformers in really good condition to sun-damaged ones in boxes.
