Just the figures, no accessories, I'd say $20 if you can find them at a deal.

Yeah I just got him/them (ebay) for $70. No lens cap or any of the other accesories, I've wanted one for a while but can't fork out the $300 + he goes for MIB online. In the auction he wasn't listed as 'reflector' so I figured it would be a good opportunity.

So $50, is that like TFW2005 board $50 or out in the cold world?

Cuz I find the prices people say you can get stuff for to generally be LOW on this site. For example, in this thread http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=116849&highlight=abominus+good
multiple people set abominus' value at $50 Cdn but I just got one for $75 Cdn and feel that is the best deal I'd come across anytime soon. There seems to be an idea of value of the 'collector's ideal price' and then 'real world price'.

I think it's more that people here are mainly real collectors and not rip-off artists out to make a buck on ebay etc. Most people here have a better idea of what things are truly worth and try not to artificially inflate the values of some toys as it has a very negative impact on the fandom. It's a vicious cycle.

I agree, so you overpayed just a bit, but that's ok. Reflector is awesome. Congrats

Thanks for the optimism. I will be happy enough once they're in my posession. Three people say $50 now so I'll take that as a rough value. Don't get me wrong about the prices people evaluate here, I respect them and like to get different opinions so that's why I post such things as this thread.

Sometimes I do think some people give a price that reflects the 'well this one time 6 years ago in the last hour of a convention I saw but didn't react quick enough to get...' sort of thinking is all, which, just as ebay on the other end, isn't really such a good reflection of value.

Congrats, atleast you have him, you can always get his accessories later, but the figs seem to be in great shape.
When it comes to nice G1 figs, it's ok to overpay everyonce in awhile, I best most people here have done the same. I know I have a few times

I still need a lens for mine
