Thinking about selling one of my Aerial appendage kits: The snowman versions. Can't find any on ebay to gauge pricing, so does anyone have any idea of what these go for?

I'd say $300 is more than fair if you wanted cash quick, I know I've seen them go for around that in recent months. The only recently-sold one on ebay went for $350 buy-it-now. You might even get $400 if you're willing to wait for the right buyer and you toss aerialbots in.. it's not like there's too many of 'em out there and naked aerialbots can be had pretty cheap if you look. Seems insane to me for such a meh set, but different strokes. I'd totally sell.

Only 500 made, if I am not mistaken. Take that into account when selling.

These were selling for like $250 when I was looking in December of last year. With the way that TF prices have jumped between December and now, I would say $400 would be a good STARTING point. If people have the nerve to sell the iGear set at $400, then this should easily be the same price.

This set is really in the same category as Shadow Scythe.

Really? I got mine around March I think for 125$ shipped here. So I guess it depends. Sometimes, a great deal pops up, but if its to be "fair price", not sure if you will get any bites at 300$+ since its really an "add on" and nothing more, just my 2 cent.

I don't want to insult anyone but seriously, $400 for the kit? That's a fucking joke. I mean, it's nice, but all you are paying for is the "limited run". The regular kit can be had for $100.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, people are going to get caught with their pants down with these ridiculously priced 3rd party items (nothing is stopping them from producing more snowman kits- just look at the wonderfest DIA commander, that was supposed to be 500 pieces too). And really, the aerial appendage kit is nothing compared to what crossfire did for bruticus.

I feel the same way about the cliffjumper kit. I mean, if you are happy with it that's fine because it's your cash, but IMO I can find better stuff to do with $1000 than buy these limited 3rd party products (cliffjumper $300, snowman $400, Scythe $400 come on now).

The last thing I'll bring up is the recent PE Scouting force KO. If KOs are being made of third party products they are going to start to lose some money to the ko companies and would have to go back to tried and true sellers- maybe reissuing the CJ kit and the snowman. They've already rereleased City commander twice and shadow commander once which knocked about a $100 off the aftermarket price for CC (hell even the KO CC armour was going for $100 bucks before the BBTS "warehouse find")

That is a damn good deal. That is barely any mark up at all on it.

    I don't know if I'd call a 100+% markup so great. :lol

Yeah, it was, I was very grateful for the member to offer that to me.

I think Snowman kit suffers from the same issue as CJ upgrade kit:

The supply and demand commands a very heavy market price. But it's hard for a collector to rationalize paying a butt load for a few piece of plastic, which differentiate from a full kit like FP bruticus/Protector.

So most collectors have the mindset of "wow, that looks nice, but I don't think I will shell out 300-400$ for it, since I can do much more with it in terms of plastic crack".

The white snowman set was $60!? I thought it was close to $80 or $100 when released. Maybe I saw the jacked up price on TFSource after it sold out.

Hey, I was late to the 3rd party .... party at that time T_T, so 125$ shipped was a lot better than Ebay's 325$ shipped.

I just wish I had the money at the time to pick up a second Scyther. It would have been nice to trade for a legit Wildrider. Pout.

    Wow.

I saw it in November, so that was 11 months after, and they had it sold out at $80. So I thought that was the price.

Funny thing is, I heard those things sat for a while.

I say put it on eBay, and charge 350.00 to 400.00 with the superion included. Just don't give it away to low ballers who wants things for retail prices. At least earn something to buy more toys.

It's true. When I first joined this forum or were lurking, they were still in stock.

edit:: at that time I thought "hell, 50$ to upgrade? its more than the figure itself.. and its not official/pass" x.x

Yup, $5 more then the regular release when it first came out and both could have been had at the same time.

    Ebay:
Both Aerial Appendage sets had pretty lukewarm receptions, since the Energon Superion mold is generally regarded as being somewhat... insufficient. Plus the "$50 for a couple parts" marginalizing. As usual, interest didn't really pick up until after the sets sold out.
