I've got a set of the canceled Energon Built to rule figures MIB and packed up in a box collecting dust somewhere.
They seem like kind of an odd item. I wouldn't imagine many people would want them and I don't see any on ebay.
Any ideas on what I might expect to get for them if I were to sell them?

    How big is the set?
Basic price shouldn't be more than 50 bucks a piece.

HA... 50 bucks... dude, they're honestly probably not even worth what you paid for them...

Well there's always a market... specifically me. BTRs are notoriously terrible which is perfect for my needs and Energon BTRs are ones I never had a shot at before. If you figure out a price let me know, I'm honestly clueless on what they'd be worth.

I paid for $25 (I think) for a sealed Energon BTR Optimus Prime years ago @ Botcon and I thought was a steal of a deal. I've seen the smaller sets in larger quantity, but Prime and Scorponok not so much.

Any amount of money is too much for these built to rules.

Yeah, they were canceled before seeing a wide release.
They pretty much suck, but they are improved over the Armada versions.
    Here are a few:
    Optimus Prime
    Starscream
    Scorponok
    Ironhide

Yeah, I spent a good deal of money on a complete set when they first hit test markets. I doubt I'll ever recoup what I paid.

The sad part is, they're much, much better than the Armada BTRs.

but still so far from 'good' ;)

although, the Optimus might just have a better truck mode then the real Energon version...

    Definitely... but if the Armada's are a 2/10, the Energon's are a 5/10.

I suppose it's the less stinky of two piles of poo.

I'll never understand why BTR had to suck so much. It's an awesome concept that they just plain ruined.

I've seen 6-year-olds build better lego TFs.

Lets face it Hasbro needed to license the building block TF rights to Lego and we'd be spooging all over our selves at their awesomeness.. and crying over their price.

I have an Energon Skyblast BTR somewhere. I got it because Skyblast is awesome, but the BTR I remember being.. well, a pile of crap. No idea where it is now.
