Wondering what the going rate is for these two individually:

    - Ehobby Collector's Edition "Desert Hound" - a reissued Hound in a beige/tan color scheme

    - Takara C-77 (or maybe C-78) Reissued Hot Rod

I have a chance at either one and I just want to make sure I'm not getting cheated. Thank you for any help.

You should be able to find a desert Hound for under $50 shipped in USA. I am not sure on the HotRod.

I sold my C-whatever reissue Hot Rod last year and I think I only got around $25 for it. The TFC is far superior and I'm sure it drove down the prior reissue's demand.

Hot Rod doesn't sell for much. I wouldn't pay more than $40 for him before shipping.

What is the difference between the C-77 and the TFC version? Aside from the great TFC packaging. Are there mold differences? I'm sure both use die-cast parts.

The TFC includes the Targetmaster and the 'bot's fist holes are larger to hold it, and there is a hole in the engine block to hold the little guy as well.

The non-TM guns are also altered so they will fit the toy's fists. I don't have him here at work, but I believe those gun posts have two widths, ala G1 Mixmaster's large purple gun.

Ugh. I can't believe I forgot about the whole TFC having a Targetmaster thing. Sorry, that explains alot.

    Thank you.

I got my desert Hound from TFSource when he came out for $35. I think he was up to $65-70 when they sold out. I have the TFC Hotrod and hes pretty cool. The TM is the clincher for me.

I have the TC Hot Rod with the Targetmaster gun; I think I got it for about $40 shipped off eBay late last year.
