Ever since we found out these were exclusive to the cutomizing class I wondered how much these will go for in the after market. I don't want one myself, I just NEED to know how much they'll go for lol. It's a nice figure and I can see it fetching a couple thousand bucks.

I think you have to sell your soul to get one.

I saw one sell at Botcon for somewhere around 700. I'm assuming that price will keep going up too. That figure was NICE.

This is such a limited item that you will be lucky to even find any for sale. Must have a sale in order to find a sale price. :)

Best chance to procure one was probably at Botcon. Saw one on sprues (kit) for sale at the con for 700. Heard another sprue kit go on sale for 425. That is kind of the range I saw for these.

They said at botcon that they might sell him on the club store. So if the above prices are true then you might want to just wait and see.

Wow, that's a lot of dinero. Guess botcon was the best place to get one of these. Can't wait to see one go up on eBay. Bet the bidding will be furious.

I heard that they encouraged the Custom Class participants not to sell them on ebay, but I doubt that means much

I don't really remember them saying that they are going to sell him at the club store. I think someone suggested at the roundtable that they should consider him as a store exclusive, but as far as I know he was a customize class thing only.

Actually, some were also given to volunteers at the con, but only under the explicit agreement that they would not be put on Ebay. The concern is that Hasbro really doesn't like supplying unassembled toys, and if it gets flaunted too much, they may quit doing it.

I know of multiple ones that changed hands with the price right around $500.

Yeah, encouragement was not to sell on ebay and as of yet we haven't seen one yet. In past years, I don't think I have seen much of the class sprues on sale on ebay. At conventions though, may be a different story.

I'm betting that we will see Classic G2 Sideswipe receive a wider release at some point. There is too much demand for him to ignore.

At the round table, they said they'd consider it, but they were in no way committed to the idea

It would make a nice pairing with the G2 Ramjet they announced.

I would be shocked if they did that. Brian understands the collector's market as it's his primary customer base. He has always shown quite a bit of respect for the investment that toy collectors make, and I really can't picture him directly undermining that.

Nah, the club might release him later but it won't be this year and they've already announced G2 Ramjet and Transtech Cheetor as their next ones. Are they going back to 2 per year instead of 2 every two years?

The club asks that people don't sell theirs on ebay or any forums that are too public and most people are respectable enough to do that. The club was really surprised that Hasbro gave the figure to them this year with everything all molded in the correct color. You can find plenty of buyers at the convention and on the boards that you don't need to go to ebay. Was the one that supposedly went for $700 assembled? Painted?

No the one that went for 700 was still on the tree. Not assembled. Don't know if he got the full 700 he asked for, but that was what he had listed and had crossed off later in the week as sold.

$500-700 isn't that much... well it is but not for what it could potentially fetch some time from now. I think maybe we'll get a Henkei type of release... maybe..
