Hey guys, I have a friend who used to work at Best Buy. He has a couple of exclusive movie toys he's trying to price. They're the movie figures with metalliic finishes.

I got the Megatron at a toy shop for $20. It was mint but opened.

They can each be had for about $20 loose or closer to $40 MISB if you look around. Ebay prices of course will be a little higher than that. Megatron is the real winner of these 2, my favorite version of my favorite TFTM toy.

That Megatron was actually pretty cool looking for being so crappy.

He's looking at about $20-25 each, unfortunately. They didn't appreciate in value anywhere near as much as other Premium figures (Blackout, Ironhide)

Which is odd because there should be fewer of these around than the other premiums.

But hey, who am I to determine market value?

I really ought to fish my megatron out of the basement one of these days. I haven't actually looked at him since I packed him to move two years ago.

yeah, i recall these guys being nigh-impossible to get: I had to have my brother's girlfriend in another state score me one... I could understand Megatron not really appreciating since that mold was pretty widely reviled, but I'da thought Ratchet would have held some value ~ maybe the never ending re-releases of that mold have killed interest...

I think it's about the same. The Megatron and Ratchet were Best Buy only and impossible to get but the Blackout and Ironhides were end-of-line released and not many showed up either. No idea why any of these shot up in value though.
