Yep... another price check thread :)

I'm trying to figure out what a fair price would be for a MISB Leader Black Optimus. It also includes the legends Stealth Bumblebee (sealed) and the Japanese RotF DVD (sealed). I usually have no problem coming up with prices that I feel are fair to both parties, but I'm at a loss with this one. From what I can tell, there just aren't that many on the market. I couldn't find much on eBay, aside from one auction from Taiwan with a winning bid of $232. Amazon Japan also has one from a third party seller for $450 something (HA!)

    Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

No completed listings though. I'd use that $250 as the high end and low end is probably somewhere over $150 so midpoint around $200.

I won one from Germany, complete with Stealth Bumblebee and DVD and sealed in its Amazon box, for €146 3 weeks ago. I think I lucked out there.

    Kinda lucky I bought mine.

But yeah, they're selling for quite the pretty penny these days.

That was pretty much the same direction I was leaning. I tend to not focus on auctions that haven't had any bids. With completed listings or listings with bids, there's an argument to be made for those prices since someone is (in theory) willing to pay those amounts.

Some people are going to key in on the fact that he was available from Amazon JP for as low as $80 last year even though original price was around $120. The counterargument to that is to tell them to build a time machine and go buy it from then.

    Mixmaster's EU146 translates into US$207.
