im about to shell out $500 on a LOOSE botcon rod, more than i have ever spent, i had hoped the day would come :)  but i always thought such a large purchase would be for a custom not a loose mold that i dont like but i bought the FP Schyther armor so now i need the figure, so im asking is this too much, thanks and MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS ( i just got the latest CRAZYDEVY upgrade so i threw in some pics)

well it was already pulling over 300 before the armor, so the fact there is the armor now it is going to get up there. the last one on ebay went for 500, so thats gonna be the asking price to start now.

Is it worth it? Hell no! Are people paying it? Yes. Am I crazy for not selling mine? YES.

Just don't be like the people in the wanted section desperately seeking the figure but wanting it for 250 tops. Dream a little dream.

Yeah, get ready to shell out big bucks because the price isn't going down. It might be cheaper to get a customized one.

I agree. Botcon 2007 and 2008 were the ones my wife and I went to, so those two sets have sentimental value.

I would never pay that much for a single toy, under any circumstances. Unless I became rich. Then I'd just get whatever I want.

I can understand why you're posting this thread, you want reassurance that you aren't wasting your money.

But dude, if it's important to YOU, you should not need any reassurance. If you can afford it without missing bill payments, then you shouldn't have any regrets. That's all I'm saying.

What most of the boys said:

Go for it IF you really wanted that figure. The remorse can come at a later stage. :lol

thats funny, I picked him up at botcon as a last minute "why not?" and never even bothered taking him out of his baggie, who would have thought he'd be worth so much now.

That's a lot of money but if you really want it who cares. if it makes you happy go for it. I recently shelled out a grip on a figure I wanted.... I felt no buyers remorse what so ever.

If you can though......try waiting a bit before spending that much. You might be able to get a better deal..

You guys are awesome, i appreciate very much each and everyone of your comments. I agree the smartest thing i could do would be have it painted, but i want the actual figure (all of a sudden), i have $400 set aside so i guess i can get the rest, im so glad i got the armor already but this will make the 3rd mold i have of this and i hated it from the beginning but fansproject is like a magical company imho :)  who makes mistakes into something very special :)  again thanks guys im going for it, if anyone here that has one and is willing to part with it i would rather buy from a tfw brother than ebay. I will place my bid on the last day, thanks and may god bless you and yours

i know its rude to ask, but what did you pay for him at botcon? I am just clueless, i would think it was like $100. But its cool if you dont want too, no offense just curious as to what it cost at first :)  thanks for your response :)

At Botcon, I payed $119 for Rodimus and Megatron. The bulk of that price was for Megatron, who had a new headsculpt.
