So I know this is a bit of a tired topic... but, I've missed out on every opportunity to buy him for retail and I'm getting ready to chomp down on the $40 + shipping bit that seems to be eBay's price for him.

Anyone out there think there's a better deal down the road? I know that he's likely not going to be in the Rumble/Ravage assortment (if that even shows up) and I'm sure every online store has finally blown through their stock, though I've been holding out hope that he might get restocked at HasbroToyShop.

So here's the question: if I hedge my bets and just wait until all the Alt waves are done, will this guy just get more expensive by mid-summer or will he hover at $40 for a while?

Anyone else in the same (unfortunate) boat?

    Roadtrip to BC!

Really, we seem to have plenty up here. If you know anyone in BC, they could help you out.

I feel ya, man. I consider myself lucky that I bought one from Walmart, because that is the ONLY time I've ever seen one in store.

But, as Banshee said, see if someone in BC can help ya out. Seems like the best bet.

I know your pain, I got one at Wallymart (on clearance no less) and have never seen him again. If I spot one I'll try to get it for you...

I saw him once....ONCE! And I found 6 Swerves back in the day! 4 at once even! You might try conventions/toy shows if you can. I saw a Cam for $24 at the height of the "I need a Camshaft!" craze. If I hadn't gotten one already, I would have jumped on it. Good luck!

    Ebay:
You should buy a Skywarp Magnus 2pack and trade it for a Camshaft with somebody in Canada.

anyone who can set me up with three of them, I need two to open and a nice boxed one for my collection. Cash and or trade, I can cut some really cool vinyl stickers or such.

Yeah, he's positively warming shelves in Vancouver right now, usually along with Meister, and to a slightly lesser extent, Prime.

yeah Camshaft is nearly impossible to find in America, especially now, while in Canada it's not much trouble. I guess that makes him the opposite of Swerve. I'm glad to say I got mine for Christmas and completed my Hasbro Alts, but I had to get one from a Canadian seller

    Hey, great advice all.

I'm now on the hunt for a Magnus/Skywarp pack for a sweet inter-Pacificia trade.

Did spot him at a few shops in Montreal in recent months but the supply seems to have dried up. No shortage of Skids, however. This is why I import cause distribution is a joke. If you can find someone to help you out I'd suggest that but yeah, if you really want it bad seems Ebay is the only other way.

Yeah if you go to 3 TRUs in Toronto at least one will have him.
