    DE:TALES HC

    Publisher:
    Dark Horse Comics
Writers: Gabriel Bá & Fábio Moon
Pencils: Gabriel Bá & Fábio Moon

From the company that introduced American audiences to Brazilian twins Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá (Daytripper, Pixu) comes a new hardcover edition of Dark Horse's out-of-print De:Tales, a collection of the twins' breakthrough short stories!

After three Eisner Awards and a series of acclaimed projects with writers Joss Whedon (Sugarshock), Gerard Way (The Umbrella Academy), Mike Mignola (B.P.R.D.: 1947), and Matt Fraction (Casanova), Moon and Bá are now among the hottest artists in comics. De:Tales is the duo's most personal work to date, presenting their work separately, together, and in tandem-as the twins trade off on the roles of writing and illustrating, share those roles, or fly solo. Brimming with all the details of human life, their charming tales move from the urban reality of their home in São Paulo to the magical realism of their Latin American background.

Featuring a brand-new cover, Moon and Bá's seminal and sought-after work is finally back in this handsome hardcover packaging, proving once again that they are a talented pair to watch out for.

    * Named by Booklist as one of the 10 best Graphic Novels of the year, Foreword Magazine gave it a silver medal on the Graphic Novel category of their "Book of the Year" award, and it was nominated for an Eisner Award.

    Now available in hardcover!

The Avengers Academy: exposed to the public? The existence of the school has been kept secret...and the fame-hungry Striker isn't happy about that at all! But it may be a moot point as the obsessed super-criminal Whirlwind blames Hank Pym for the death of the woman he loved, Janet Van Dyne, and comes seeking revenge on Hank’s inexperienced students, who are out on a field trip! And hey, who's that locking lips with Justice? All the drama, action and intrigue you can handle, from the new breakout series which WeeklyCrisis.com says has “a solid premise, interesting new characters, and a superb creative team. I look for this comic to be criminally underestimated, but tremendously satisfying.

    Publisher:
    Marvel Comics
    Writers: Dave Lapham

    Covers: Kyle Baker
    Inkers: Kyle Baker

    "HEADS UP"
When the world has a problem that's bigger than any government, special ops team, or C.I.A. smart bomb can solve, they call in the one man crazy enough to solve it: Deadpool. Possibly unkillable mercenary, definite weapons expert and swordsman, hopeless romantic, nutjob. It's that last part that presents a small problem and that's where Agent Bob steps in. Bob's sole charge in life is to point Deadpool at the problem and pull the trigger--not any easy task when your agent is a dime short of a dollar and three cards shy of a full deck, and even harder when you've gone deep cover in the impenetrable fortress of Hammerhead, the Grand Don of the most powerful criminal organization in the world, and your unkillable super agent is head over heels for a busty French maid baker named Inga...well, you begin to see the inherent problems of the job. But no one can take it like Bob, no one can dish it like Deadpool, and no one can show you every last detail if it like MAX! You may think you know Deadpool...you have no idea.

Presenting two of Marvel's finest: Spider-Man and...Cynical Duck (TM)? Yes, Howard the Duck's brain has been thoroughly scrubbed, his hard-edged humor carefully dulled down for maximum demographic acceptance. It's up to Peter Parker to set the duck straight -- but does the world prefer Howard this way? Guest-starring the villainy of SOOPhI, the utter cluelessness of Mayor J. Jonah Jameson, and the unnerving eroticism of "Swizzle," SOOPhI's whip-wielding corporate spokeswoman. So wrong it's - well, no, it's still wrong, courtesy of Stuart Moore (NAMOR) and Mark Brooks (YOUNG AVENGERS). Get a first look at the world of the upcoming Tron: Legacy! Following the events of the original Tron, the year is 1983 and Kevin Flynn is now in charge of Encom. He's built it into the largest videogame company in the world. But that's not all Kevin has accomplished – he's also secretly built the Grid, a digital world filled with living programs! More than a place where he can race light cycles, it's a place where he can build and test environments only limited by his imagination. But the Grid is far more complex than even its creator realizes, and even Flynn can't be in two places at once. As this new world develops a life of its own, Flynn is going to first need the help of an old friend, a security program named Tron. Showcasing a key time of the mythology of the Tron world, part one of THE BETRAYAL will show the early days of the Grid, and the first appearances of the heroes and villains that will be seen in Tron: Legacy.

    Z-GIRL AND THE 4 TIGERS #0

    Publisher:
    Studio Z

In 300 BC, venerable Lao Tzu, the father of Taoism, looked upon the evil ravaging China and set about finding ancient warrior spirits who would defend humanity and prevent the future zombie apocalypse as foretold in the ancient epic of Gilgamesh. These spirits, his Tigers, would be contained in human hosts. And to lead them, a fifth tiger, the center that commands the others, he selected a special kind of immortal being, a female zombie. If a Tiger is killed, the spirit seeks out a suitable replacement and is then drawn to Z-Girl through the sacred tattoos that bond the team to her. Z-Girl uses an ancient regenerative myst to repair herself as well as keep her more base instincts and hungers in check.

Centuries after their creation, Z-Girl and the 4 Tigers continue to fulfill the prophecies of Lao Tzu, and currently operate as agents of the secretive Department of Irregular Warfare. Outfitted with the latest in high-tech weaponry and capable of engaging threats anywhere on the planet, Z-Girl and the Four Tigers are often called upon to be the last line of defense against unthinkable and unimaginable evils.
