    CRYING FREEMAN VOLUME 1 TPB

    Publisher:
    Dark Horse
    Writer: Kazuo Koike
    Artist: Ryoichi Ikegami

He is Yo Himomura, deadly assassin for the 108 Dragons, the Chinese Mafia. But to the criminal underworld who fear him, he is known as Crying Freeman, the killer who sheds tears at the fate of his victims. Young, handsome, sensitive, an artist, Yo has been hypnotically programmed by his Dragon masters to kill on command: he cannot resist his masters'commands to kill, his masters cannot stop his tears of remorse.

Written by the legendary Kazuo Koike, creator of Lone Wolf and Cub, and illustrated by the incomparable Ryoichi Ikegami, Crying Freeman is adult manga at its most challenging: dark, violent, morally complex, erotically charged, and regarded worldwide as one of the classics of adult graphic fiction. Dark Horse Manga is proud to present Crying Freeman, yet another of the jewels in the crown of manga classics, presented in its original right-to-left reading orientation.

    AMERICAN VIRGIN #1

    Publisher:
    DC Comics/Vertico
    Writer: Steven T. Seagle
Artists: Becky Cloonan, Frank Quitely (Cover)

YOU ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR FIRST TIME…

Adam Chamberlain is a 20-year-old youth minister, a best-selling author, and most important, the head of a rabid national virginity movement. But practicing virgin or not...Adam is about to lose it.

Just a few weeks shy of marrying the girl of his dreams — the only woman God has said he can ever know sexually — Adam's fate, future and sex life are cast in direct opposition with God's Word.

Like Y: THE LAST MAN, the series follows one man's dark quest into unknown territories — geographically and emotionally. A shocking terrorist act casts Adam adrift in exotic locales not so easily managed by a slick image, a clever comeback or the Good Book. Adam is forced to confront head-on the very rifts we all feel between our carnal desires and whatever higher power we answer to.

Will Adam's first time be his last?

Featuring the deft, cutting edge writing skills of seven-time Eisner Award nominee Steven T. Seagle (the nationally acclaimed IT'S A BIRD...) and the frenetic, high-contrast art of two-time Eisner Award-nominated artist Becky Cloonan (Demo, Wizard's "Best Indie Book" for 2004), AMERICAN VIRGIN will be previewed in Y: THE LAST MAN #41 and includes a bonus interview with the creators. Erotically charged covers for the series will be created by the inimitable Eisner Award-winning artist Frank Quitely (WE3, ALL STAR SUPERMAN).

    ARMY OF DARKNESS #5

    Publisher:
    Dynamite Entertainment
    Writer: James Kuhoric
    Artist: Kevin Sharpe

    Prepare to be scared!

Ash's adventures have bordered on the ridiculous and absurd but the series takes a grave turn to the dark side as he is forced to confront one of the original locales of deep Kandarian dominance.

Traveling to the old cabin Ash must destroy the anchor holding the spirit in the woods to this dimension if he wants to claim the prize...a chance to save the soul of his lost maiden.

AOD: Old School is a return to classic Rami-esque grueling terror and storytelling that Evil Dead trilogy fans have been clamoring for. Something evil is lurking in the fruit cellar...and it wants to tear your soul apart!

Kinda nice to see the old school TFG1 designs in a comic again too. I still didn't order Joe v TF #1 tho. I think I'm going to drop all of the TF comics after my subs to Infiltration & BW end and just wait for the trades. Same for any new minis. I'm trying to switch to subscriptions & trades and I can't keep up with a new TF mini every two months.
