IDW Publishing has released their 5-page previews for titles shipping January 31. Among them is The Transformers: Animated Movie Adaptation #4, the final installment for the animated movie adaptation.

The Transformers: Generations #11 can also be found, but it is not listed on any of the shipping lists for this week (Diamond Comics, Midtown Comics, Graham Crackers Comics). This could be an error on IDWs part and might actually be shipping next week February 7, 2007.

Enjoy these 5-page previews and check out even more previews for titles shipping this week over in the 2005 Comics section.

If Galvatron could have controlled Unicron that would have been so much cooler than the Season 3 we got. Oh well.

Great art by DON as usual!

This series was a Waste of everyones time.

It was a Waste of our time to expect us to read a story thats 20 years old and has already had a comic adaptation

It was a waste of retailers time to stock it.

It was a waste of IDW time to print it.

And it was a waste of Don's time to draw it.

It did seem like a half-assed adaption. Very annoying how they changed lines of the characters. They didn't take a chance to clear up somethings that have been fan annoyances for years (IE 2nd Cyclonus).

What they should have done is have a much longer adaption to clear up any animation/story questions (ex/ where season 2 guys were), add back in deleted scenes (Magnus & bots taking down Devestator) and stay closer to the movie dialog.

Agreed on all counts. I had no trouble at all passing on this pointless adaption of what is arguably the low point of G1.

Actually, supposedly Grimlock destroys Cyclonus' clone instead of a Sweep when the Decepticons re-attack Autobot city.

yeah, all of these points would have made this an easy "buy" for me. making it a "directors cut", filling out battle scenes with more characters, (i.e. S2 guys, never animated guys like Jumpstarteers and Deluxe autobots) adding too it, cleaning up some dialog...

instead it was just a literal rehash with Simplified art :(

I've been thinking how this could have turned out.

Galvatron kills Hot Rod. (I would have cheered!)

Knowing Cybertron is getting destroyed, Galvatron goes "Armada-Noble" and destroys Unicron at the cost of his own life.

Shockwave takes control of the Decepticons.

Later Ultra Magus finds the Matrix and once again leads the Autobots with Springer's help.

A cooler Season 3 and you could still work in TROOP! :lol

If you mean the Movie, watch again in slow motion, it's not the 2nd Cyclonus that gets destroyed, it's just another Sweep.

I could have sworn I read in early solits that IDW was gonna do just that. Too bad they didn't go that route.

Only reason I wound up picking this new adaptation up is because of Don's art.
