Well, looking forward to Escalation (except I've already read 8 pages of #1 thanks to previews).

Kinda wonder what's gonna happen next in Furman's baby.

And I'm kinda hoping the human cast undergoes a clothing change soon - they must stink by now (though I know some would say they stunk from day 1 of their inclusion)

I'm not sure, but I guess it'd be cheaper and clearer (when Dreamwave did the digest format, the art didn't look clear enough when on the cheaper paper and shrunken down).

EDIT: For some reason I was thinking you were talking about the digests. Now, the Escalation thing, I've got no theories on.

Given the fact that it's greyscales anyway, I **really** don't see the point of Escalation #1 B&W. You're not seeing any more "detail" that way.

really? multi covers pre issue again. That needs to come to a stop, even 2 is pushing it (unless you can combine them) and it's just B&W of the colored verison of the one cover, not even new art. going to have to pass on the B&W covers there's no point... Oh my, what ever happen to the one book, one cover days..

I still think Hunter and Sunstreaker get wacked by the Machination in the first issue...

The "prime" version of Su's art should be the inked lines WITHOUT color or his original pencils. Just converting the finished paged to greyscale doesn't do anything to make his artwork better. Kind of pointless....

Now, an unshaded, "coloring book" style printing would be sweet, and is what they should do.

I believe only issue one of Escalation is getting the black and white treatment similar to how Marvel did Punisher: War Journal #1 with a black and white variant. IDW listed the B&W version seperately this month, so I checked the solicitations for the upcoming months and found there are no listings for further black and white covers.

    It's a one-off collector's thing.

    YES.

If I want to see stuff in greyscale, I have a scanner... can't get the inked artwork out of a coloured page, though.
