here are new pics with the croutch piece installed... i,ll probably seek professionnal painting service for this guy because he,s a bit out of my painting spectrum... more to come eventually !
he has a Tank inside of him.. so I guess just do the Cybertronian armor.. since his armor isn't really " Samurai " armor as it is a Metalikato Masters armor.. just happens to be Samurai-ish..
I say go Samurai, I've always figured he was hanging around on Earth being worshiped as an Oni-God, like the other Destron Pretenders. He was just smart enough to keep his head down when Devil-Z showed up BUT, that shows which side of the pond my biases stem from... If you happen to have a copy of Generations, take a CLOSE look at the Pretender concept art, I'm convinced that the original (pre-toy) design/concept was the best! D/L
I'm not sure which is best. I was thinking of maybe some how blending the two together for something new and different. But that's just me.I know whatever you do it's going to be awsome!!!!!!!
I'd say go with a combo of the two. I would definitely lean to the modernized Samurai look, but with a close homage to G1. That head looks great already
I like the IDW style armor. Or you can go with Derrick J wyatts Animated sketch of him as a pirate! Arrrr
i think i,ll go for a mix of both..... as for an update nothing as moved since i,m concentrating on the aerialbots right now.... also there a possiblity that the shell,s arms and legs will be add-on (individually for the body) that might solve some of the issues i have with this project.....
acutally i cheated a bit lol... it,s in resin because i molded it... but i did do the articulation of the mouth for expressions....
ok ! bludgeon is moving foward... i have a couple of problems to deal with but they,re not too complex...so here is a look at the tank mode of the robot inside ! hope you enjoy ! anemis
with allot of pain and sweat lol no seriously i made parts that go in each other ...not an easy task because the space is really tight...
here is a picture of the chest piece nearly done... allot of detailling and next on the agenda : the shell !!
I have always loved seeing your WIP threads. Your skills with styrene is incredible. Will you custom make the shell as well or modify and existing one?
thanks it,s going to be scratchbuilt because i,ll be trying to have an organic look with as much mobility as possible... hopefully it will work as i imagine it !
