Just got this in my inbox.
KEEP IT CIVIL PEOPLE.
If they win, let Sebastian know he still owes me my money.
Further proof that Canada is backwards.
edit: I don't have access to the contract in question, of course. I have the book and I like it, in spite of these ongoing issues.
Their Ghostbusters comic was shaping up to be freakin' amazing, but it never got past the mini-series phase. Too bad they had an elderly inbred ******ed monkey working the adding machine. They could have made enough money on that property to fix the Genesis debacle.
I wonder how Hasbro are going to fight this one off.
looks @ the hole in his wallet where his Genisis preorder money used to be...
Funniest news in weeks.
And I agree with Lance. Ghostbusters was freaking ace. Losers.
Tell sebastian he owes me money as well!
LOL...omg this is rich.
Sorry, I don't speak legalese. What the heck does the second half of that press release mean?
wow i completely forgot about that book...that S.O.B. owes me money as well...what a loser
I emailed the Attorney via his website on this to request advice on suing this frauster myself. Hopefully my crude mix of French/English got through.
Taking money for an item or service without intent to supply is clearly fraud. I'd have thought refunding folk would've been a better investment than a slick lawyer.
No. Hasbro has given us so much this year and is ready to make many of our dreams come true. We need to stand behind Hasbro 100% against this frivilous counter-suit. While the thread may have to be kept civil, the e-mails and letters to 88RipOffsPerHour does not.
Could someone sum up the controversy? This is the first time I've heard about it, and therefor I have no idea why either side is suing the other, and the links provided don't seem to supply much.
Man... this guy's got some hardcore nerve, balls of steel and hopefully a really good lawyer. It seems to me however, that he's got a counter suit going simply because of the suit Hasbro has against him. Personally, considering that only about a quarter of the people (based on people I know and talk to regularly... wasn't involved enough with the fandom myself at the time to have blown money on it) actually got their book.
My two cents: Personally, I think the fandbase needs to stand behind Hasbro on this one. My suggestion (if it's not already being done) would be for everyone that he still owes money (meaning everyone whom hasn't gotten a refund or only a partial one as I've heard has happened) should find a lawyer interested in getting a class action lawsuit going against 88mph Studios. Sure, Class Action lawsuits aren't the greatest, but they will drain more of his financial resources and make things much harder on him. Again, my opinion.
I thought I'd imagined this.
Damn. That is funny.
I don't know what the initial Hasbro lawsuit is over.
Anyone have some info on that?
And did anyone ever get their refund from 88MPH for their pre-order? Bastards still owe me money as well.
Separate names with a comma.
