why does this keep logging me into the gi joe store? I've got memberships in both clubs...

*edit* oh well, I was finally able to preorder it anyway. does anyone know when the credit card gets charged--is it now or when it ships? also, the quantity for this is HUGE! looks like they started with 1000...

Can someone change the thread title to reflect that it's available now? I tried but it didn't work...

problems with the site probably mean too many people on the site now. It was like that when they started selling the Runamuck and Octopunch. Just give it time you will be able to get your stuff. I think there is at least 900 set available to purchase.

    the news post said this:

As confirmed last night via the Club Twitter, this set is NOT made to order and there is no limit to the amount the Club can order from e-HOBBY.

i'm somewhat confused by this statement.... when something IS NOT made to order, doesn't that mean there IS a limit to it? and that when something IS made to order that there isn't a limit?

maybe i'm just getting lost in semantics, lol.

There is a finite number of these to be made. That number is set by e-HOBBY, not FunPub. FunPub will order from e-HOBBY, based on this pre-order.

    Is that clearer?

and, as i understand it, FunPub has to tell e-Hobby how many they'll need before the month of pre-orders is over, so if (for example) there're only 400 on pre-order at that point, FunPub might order an additional 100 (500 total), so they'll have some extra, but not a lot.

IE with windows can be an issue. Try Google chrome, Firefox or Safari and it should be fine...

I checked out and it charged my card. Haven't gotten an email receipt from FubPub, but I think I usually get them at the end of the day.

Exactly. I mean, these are beautiful figs; don't get me wrong. But $200 is a bit much for a couple of repainted G1 molds and a few cassettes. I guess if you got it to throw around...

    ...donate it or something. haha

I didn't know Pete gave out actual numbers (they're pretty stingy with that these days), but that's otherwise accurate to my understanding. Fun Pub has to tell e-HOBBY how many they need before the pre-order period is completed, but it will be based on how many pre-orders are made in this first week or two of the pre-order period.

People have been comparing these prices to the recent SDCC reissues as a way of saying how overpriced they are.

I think comparing to the way past e-HOBBY exclusives have been priced would be far more fair. Past G1-mold e-HOBBY exclusives have always been more expensive than same-mold reissues.

Too bad that they charge you right away for this pre-order. Should charge you once they came in.
