What is Blaster's color scheme based on? It looks a LOT like the usual Nemesis Prime/Scourge deal, what with the multiple tones of black and gray with AllSpark/Baby Blue highlights.

Apparently, it's a fan based color scheme that was submitted for Shattered Glass.

This set is kinda sorta interesting, and the price isn't bad, so those who dig i hope you can get it.

Not really fan based. An artist, who is also a fan, who did some work for us when we first introduced the Blaster character came up with the colors for a story and I was cool with them...

I like how this appears to be "made to order," so no selling out really. The price is exactly as expected. Maybe $205-210 shipped?

I'm gonna have to think about it, but I do want them.

I don't care what it's supposed to be. It reminds me a LOT of TFW's Boombox. If for some reason I wanted to buy this, He'd be getting some sort of Reprolabel job to become Boombox.

What do you guys think of the price? My first thought was, "Wow, that's expensive", followed by "this hobby is going to put me in the poorhouse". But thinking that it's two different G1-mold nice size toys plus four (or is it five) cassette bots, maybe the price is decent. What is the consensus?

Seriously, though, I have never spent so much money on toys as I have these past few months! This is nuts!

I'd like to second this! If this means that I won't have to go through the frustration of fighting the internet traffic to try to get this set before it sells out (and likely miss it), then I am VERY happy about this new direction!

Yeah, if you do a bigger order like that, they can apparently be made to order. I much prefer this over the old way...

When are we going to see the actual toy for Solarbot? Is he going to be transparent?

Pete- is this definitely true? Are they being made to order, rather than a set, limited-run number? If so, then no stress and hitting refresh on the site tomorrow. That would be great!

Having a month open for pre-orders instead of underestimating demand (here's looking at you SDCC & HasbroToyShop) and selling out in mere minutes is really appreciated.

For all the stumbling and online fiascos the club has had the last couple of months, this is a nice start, I'm hoping in a new direction.

Anybody wanna split the set with me? I really only want Soundwave and his cassettes. I don't care much for Blaster.

    Hey Pete,
will you confirm whether or not this pre-order is built-to-order like the TFSS?

I know the number that eHobby wants us to order. I will need to double check if that IS the number that we can order max. There may be a cap.

I really like this set and will definitely be getting it. I too have spent more on Transformers in the past 2 months than I normally do. As much as I am looking forward to the newer 3rd party stuff, they are going to have to stay on the back burner for me.
