I don't want to get banned, so I will not be sharing my thoughts about Supreme Devastator. However, while thinking about this, I realized many problems with movie #1's figures were later fixed in a "redo" line.

My point is, is it possible there could be a ROTF Premium line, with a Devastator with combining, transforming lims?

I know these are high hopes, but I gotta keep myself out of the gutter.

Yeah... I'm affraid you've set your hopes too high. LOL. But everyone else did as well. I'd love to see Devy redone.... the right way. Hopefully in G1 colors.

We have not seen a combiner that has more then three unique molds in like 20 years. Dont you think they would have done it already if they wanted to?

While I would want one, I gotta agree with the above, not likely.

I still wish he looked more like the render we got not long ago.

    Seriously?

Do you even like the concept of an actual Gestalt? You seem to be sticking up for this figure an awful lot.

It's not that I like it that much. I just think that the expectations for this toy were off the wall insane. I have been trying to point out in all these threads to very obvious facts. Large toys are usually simplified designs and Hasbro has not produced large combiners since the golden age of action figures in the early 80's. I don't understand why people are mad at hasbro for failing to give something they never promised

I never expected much, though I did expect a real combiner.

    Landfill begs to differ.

Heavy Load and Hightower may be really similar, but the only piece on them that is identical is the combining branch.

And I wouldn't hold your breath, Mechabreaker. If Hasbro isn't putting out a fully functional Devs when the movie launches, odds of one coming out later are slim to none.

He can beg all he wants. At most I would give him like a 3.5. The two bots might have different details but their pretty much twins. We know that each of the movie decepticons are going to look totally different going off what we have gotten so far.

I'd say it's very unlikely. I don't think any of the Premium toys from the first line featured remolding, just better paintjobs. I'd guess it's more likely we'll see an improved Devastator for the TF3 toyline (assuming Devvy's in that film).

I don't think they'll make a Premium version. If anything they might repaint him into a more G1 inspired paint job. Though at the same time I think that the final production model will look much better than the hand painted prototype we've seen. Most, if not all, of the time the final product does end up looking better than the hand painted prototype of it. If we do at some point get an improved mold for him, I think it'll happen during the third movie's toy line. Though that'll all depend on what happens in this movie.

On a side note, I personally like how he looks, though I do see a good amount about him that I don't like. Though I do think a lot of people are overreacting to him. Not saying people shouldn't voice their opinions, but some people seem to be reacting as if we were promised that the gestalt-mode CC's would have their own bot-modes. Though I to admit that it is a bit disappointing, but at the same time I remember that I'm not the target audience for this, so it doesn't bother me as much.

That had a new head and new weapon. There's a big difference between that and making brand new toys that transform and combine.

I think one of the reasons for the Premium line for the first movie was just to correct mistakes made with the first releases b/c they weren't expecting the toys to sell so well

They couldn't have really been mistakes if Hasbro released them... but if by "mistakes" you mean improving them...

Devastator is the biggest mistake ever.

I hope to hell they don't repeat the "Premium" crap from the first line. Now they've had practice at getting them right, they can do it the first time around.

Just had an idea. What if they were to make the "Premium" part of the line the G1 inspired repaints of certain characters, instead of being "more accurate" versions of them?
