if i am correct, there are 3 versions of the Cybershark/Sky Byte mold.

Cybershark- which looks like a great white and a hammerhead had a kid.

    TM2 Cybershark- great white

Sky Byte- a "polished" shiny great white.

of the three, which do you like best?

i like Sky Byte's shark mode, but his bot mode is on the "meh" to "Gnaw went on Slim-Fast" to get into that yellow bikini" in my book.

Cyb and TM2 Cyb are different molds.

The first Cybershark was a deluxe, and was remolded into Beast Wars Second Hellscream, Universe Overbite and Beast Wars Neo Sharpedge.

    I prefer Sharpedge the best.

TM2 Cybershark/Skybite looks really good, but holy shit is it ever a terrible mold. Nothing pegs together well in any mode, and it's floppy as heck.

I didn't even know about SharpEdge. SharpEdge looks like a shark trying to evolve into a swordfish, lol.

shame that Sky-Byte is a floppy fish.

Beast Wars Cybershark was my most-wanted TF (and toy in general) when it came out...only recently has it been trumped in that department by Leader Screamer.

It's still one of my very favorite TFs...probably would land in my top 5 were I to make a list (largely for nostalgic reasons, I admit).

Cybershark - I never liked the original that much, but the remolded BW II Hellscream was awesome. If you asked about it I would have said that Hellscream was my favorite.

TM2 Cybershark - It was a a very nice figure I just wasn't crazy about the colors.

Sky Byte - It's paint job really sold me on this figure it really emphasized all the great little detail in this mold, so of the three I would say Sky-Byte is my favorite.

Sky-Btye. Because he actually has paint-apps, and tons on them. He takes all the washed-out glossed-over detail from Cybershark, and brings every last bit to light. And the combonation of pearly-white, yellow and deep blue is great.

There is absolutely no contest on what the best version of the mould is. However I don't own the original non-TM2 Cybershark so I can't comment on that, but it too looks cool.

The original Cybershark is fairly cool looking, if under-detailed (although it carries the lithe, smooth shark aesthetic over well) with lots of weapon options, but as a Transformer, he's rather boring, being a glorified flipchanger essentially (he's got the same transformation as Razorbeast and Rattrap, but without the fun of the auto-conversion).

I love the detail and transformation of the TM2 mold, but it's rather annoying that his lateral fin panels don't clip in.

Sky-Byte definitely wins on deco. The paint detail on the toy is insane, I'm surprised Hasbro didn't skimp on something for the RiD release. The pearl white and translucent blue combination is beautiful.

I had the original Cybershark. loved it though his face looks really evil for a Maximal. Lost him and got TM2 Cybershark because it was Cybershark. Floppy mess. Nothing pegged in and the launcher was hell to remove. I also lost him...

From what I've heard, the tolerances were generally fixed with Sky-Byte. Not much floppy on mine, in any case. Actually, I've owned two separate ones, and they've both been fine.

    Minus the non-pegging lateral fins.

I really like the TM2 Cybershark/Sky Byte mold, especially his alt mode.

I got the Universe Overbite (which is pretty much BW2 Hellscream with some minor paint app diffeneces) remold of the original Cybershark mold and it's ok. I think Sky-Byte's got the better paint scheme of the TM2 mold but that's also the first version I saw so that might have affected my opinion a little

    hellscream is the best.
    the american repaint of hellscream.
then the bw neo sword fish
then RID Skybyte, then the cybershark version
    and finally, the original cybershark.

but yes, with out a doubt, the hellscream version is the best. :)

Of all the remolds and repaints of those two molds in question, the US version of Hellscream is my favorite. Love that creepy-ass headsculpt. BWNeo Sharpedge is awesome too.
