    Hey guys,

had a glance for this and have seen a few sites mentioned but not really sure if I got the exact answer I am after...

Who is your preferred online retailer?

For me (australia), International shipping comes into it, like probably most of you, so who do you trust and who do you stay away from?

I have placed an order through an ebay store (was very happy with the delivery) and have just placed an order through eHobbyBaseShop however that is not confirmed as they will email me the invoice and payment details.

Apologies if this thread exists, would be happy to be pointed to another thread...

    thanks all.

BBTS cause of the flexibility. I can cancel stuff at the click of a button. And I can also hold stuff so I can save on shipping. I also find myself ordering from robotkingdom often because they have the cheapest prices yet damn fast shipping.

    Cheers mate.

Do they ship to you locally or internationally, and how are they in price comparison?

BBTS will ship anywhere USPS does.

Their packaging is decent, maybe good, but not fantastic but their overall level of customer service is very good.

They won't underdeclare value for customs, but will exclude an invoice.

There is also a trend here of people accusing BBTS of padding international shipping costs.

What they quoted me to ship a G2 FOC Bruticus to Europe was about $2.00 more than Amazon........so if they pad shipping, then so does Amazon.

TfSoruce are about comparative... they'll write anything you like on customs declarations, their packaging is maybe a little better, although their customer service isn't quite as reponsive, really.

For Takara products, i mostly use Robotkingdom. Their packaging is mostly adequate, i tend to get packages from them pretty quick, and their customer service.... if and when things do go a miss, you have to be both a little patient, and a little persistent.

They usually have the best prices, shipping is super fast, they're OK with underdeclaring the shipment value and mark it as a gift (never got hit with customs fees while ordering from them), everything is well packed. What more would I need?

Nice guys, I'll go compare my current order to RobotKingdom.

@miscreant why do you prefer robotkingdom for takara products? Are they located somewhere different to BBTS?

Hong Kong. So it means not having to wait for a US dealer to get their shipment.

Also, what Detroa and me said WRT to customs declarations, or lack thereof.

I've used ehobbybaseshop before, both through eBay and their site, no issues and would gladly use them again.

RobotKingdom are tops too, I tend to avoid BBTS as UK customs tend hit their packages for some reason.

The only reason I omitted them was because of the OP's location, but they are indeed, tops.

Yer just had a look at Kapow toys. Given they are UK based its not really cost effective to order from there. Cheers though.

Kapow Toys are the best for the UK.

Toyz N Gamez get lots of my money at shows.

I have used TFsource and BBTS, both fine companies but was before we had such a reliable importer in the UK.

BBTS. I've never had a single issue with them. Yes, you'll pay a little extra most of the time but their POL, no money up front for preorders and their secure shipping boxes are worth it IMO.

Ive used BBTS for years now. I love the POL feature, easy to preorder, easy to cancel, and not paying until it comes in certainly can be nice. I also occasionally use TF Source. Its been years ago, but Ive also used HLJ before.
