There have probably been dozens of threads like these, many of which I've taken part in, but the revelation of an ideal alt mode for Soundwave has made me decide to start one up again. But first, I'll start with the Autobots - yes, I realize that many of these guys won't show up in the movie, but maybe they'll be in the toyline, and either way, this is for fun.

    Autobots:
    Optimus Prime - Freightliner Argosy
Prowl - Crown Victoria Police Cruiser
    Ratchet - TraumaHawk 5K (Ford E350)
    Jazz - 2007 Porsche Cayman
Bumblebee - VW Bug, old or new
Inferno - Fire Engine - don't know enough about different makes/models
    Wheeljack - Saleen S7
    Sideswipe - Lambo Diablo
    Sunstreaker - Lambo Murcielago

    Decepticons:
    Megatron - M1 Abrams
Soundwave - Smartruck III - (saw this mentioned on Don's boards, looked it up, and damn if it isn't perfect for Soundwave in both form and function - and it has room to store small vehicles)
    Starscream - F-35 JST
    Thundercracker - F-22
    Skywarp - F117
    Ravage - Ninja ZX-10R
Laserbeak - BQM-147A Exdrone Dragon Drone
Rumble - Gladiator Tactical Unmanned Ground Vehicle

After googleing (?) for a few minutes I have to agree with you Petey...except for Ravage. I love the Ninja-ZX idea but I just don't see that alt.mode for the movie.

I think Megatron would be great as an A-10 with his G1 transformation scheme(legs from wings instead of pistol handle though).... nose/gatling gun on his back like the pistol barrel, engines flip onto 1 arm in place of his scope/fusion cannon

How bout Prime as a monkey? Not a gorilla, or an ape or anything- an actual monkey (think Optimus Minor)

I'd like to see Wreckgar as a 70's muscle car...that has been kept in "less than optimal" condition since the 70's.

I'd rather see Wheeljack as a Ford GT, with a TF scheme reminiscent of the G1 toy. I can't really see Starscream as a JSF. The F-22 is the true air superiority fighter. The F-35 is more of a jack of all trades.
