The original was first released with diecast. Then Hasbro switched to all plastic. Just like they did with Bruticus and possibly the other combiners. The all plastic is still high quality. It doesn't feel cheap at all. Not floppy. Nothing like that. Just maybe feels lighter.

Just want to know if the metal becomes an issue with it putting stress on the plastic parts. Plastic and metal don't mix well. But I'm assuming that the metal is on pieces that don't move right?

I just want to know if it's worthme selling my vintage one and buying this new one. I already love the new paint...

    Got mine pre-ordered! Can't wait!
I never had one of these as a kid, but I remembered borrowing him from a friend. He was awesome!

Way I remember the original was ALL plastic. As for as the stateside release. In fact any new model right when rub signs came was plastic with only the pre rub toys having die cast. Not many transformers actually had die cast.

o_O  Saturday release interesting, I wonder if the online stores like BBTS get sent out prerelease date or they have to wait for the release date for stock. either way it just might be December before it reaches my door step.

:lol  same for me never lived in Texas so we can't have had the same friend, Oklahoma was as close as I got to Texas.

Nothing leaves the manufacturer to go out abroad to importers until release date. I saw people in Japan post in-hand photos of Animated Rodimus well before my preorder was filled. Gave me the lead time to cancel it.

This needs to hurry up like now lol. I can't remember having it as a kid and would love it have this again, or for the first time. Preordered ages ago.

Didn't the reissue have diecast as well? I'm looking at Tantrum and he looks to have some metal parts. Granted I don't have a magnet on me....

I seen a few of the 2005 rissues go for 225.00 to 250.00, I missed the auction. So im still looking for one misb for around 200.00 misb. it wont take long. wait to these new ones come out to bring the prices way down on the 2005 reissues.

I got my reissue several years back so I don't need to get this one, however I still may buy it some point in the future because of the new gold plastic they added to the combiner. To me that's worth another purchase even if you have one already.

I traded my original Predaking reissue for. Brave Max back in 2006. Even though I have a complete original, the thought of a diecadt reissue with that luscious gold paint really gets my juices going.

I made up my mind a loooong time ago... die-cast is a personal preference... but not a necessity. I think I'll be content with my first reissue for now. Unless I come across some spare cash later.
