I want to buy either the 2010 Predaking with all the devy upgrades, or get the FP upgrades for Bruticus Maximus. Which should I get? I'm torn...

Bruticus. Predaking was a big letdown for me. Bruticus is pretty hard to beat :p

Bruticus hands down. I'd wait until Crazy Devy bundles all of The King's Power Parts sets into one, (hopefully) cheaper priced gift set before biting on them.

I think you should get FP upgrades for Bruticus Maximus if you can get it. But....that's just my opinion. Hope you get what you want! :)

I have the first reissue PK and FP Bruticus. I'd go with Bruticus now if I had to choose between the two. However, I do love my Predaking!!!!!!

Currently the formula of inequality in Classsics-verse states:

Something + Fansproject upgrade > Something + CrazyDevy upgrades

Owning both I have to say that the sheer scale of Predaking w/ CD upgrades is a very impressive display piece. In terms of rarity and owner bragging rights, FP Bruticus wins hands down. It's just ridiculous how expensive the price tag is for both these days. I'm glad that I purchased both at retail prices before the prices skyrocketed:

I just picked up the FP Bruticus from some member here on the board. It is awesome! No question.

Even with all the (expensive) add-on parts, Predaking is still five bricks at it's core, go for FP Bruticus and see what the year brings from other 3P groups.

Crazy Devy upgrades for Predaking cost as much or more than Predaking. I merely bought the over-sized sword, which was really the only thing that bugs me about real Predaking. I'd have thought about the wings, but the risk of damage plus the expense... it just wasn't worth it to me.

The FP Bruticus add ons make an okay toy into an excellent one.

My only criticism about FansProject Bruticus is that Explorer and Munitioner upstage Onslaught, Vortex and Brawl. Which shouldn't be a problem if you intend to display them as Bruticus.

No need to upstage, just make them a tagteam!

But yeah, even though I am a HUGE Predaking fan, definitely go for FP Brut.

Bruticus was the first piece when I started collecting and it's been downhill from there. Bruticus is well designed. Bruticus FTW.
