    So, I was just wondering exactly which members and how many actually were legitimate fans before the movies. This will be in General Discussion only because everything from G1 to A/E/C is involved in this. Oh yeah, and by legitimate fans I'm not talking about those who would have 1 or 2 toys as a kid. I'm talking about the kind of people who can pull off names like Rhinox, Heavy Load, Override, Scourge, Red Alert, etc...

    Found out about Transformers through RiD, got a few toys but not many. Fully started collecting with the Cybertron line.

    After. The movies are what introduced me to the awesomeness of Transformers. Before them, I though TFs were (gasp) childish and stupid. Heck, I refused to watch the movie until my friend made me. From that moment on, I was hooked.

    First heard of Transformers through Beast Wars, became a fan during RID. Vague interest during Unicron Trilogy, revived via TF1.

    Original G1 here yo! :cool: 

    lol.. in all seriousness though, yeah I got into TF's with original G1. Got out of it a bit after Beast Wars, went in and out here and there. Got more back into it with the Movies I guess. Now really into it again with Prime. :)

    I watched the cartoons as a kid, but I didn't become a real fan until the films were released.

    Been collecting since 1984. I love the toys from every series except the Energon Autobots, the Beast Machines Maximals (with the exception of Nightslash Cheetor and BA) and the Movie figures. In my opinion a few of the them are okay, but overall the movie figures suck.

    My first Transformer was Brawn. Given by my Grandma when I was 8 in 1984. By Christmas I had most of the 84 line. It has never stopped since.
