I think HFTD. I'm a Classics fanatic but the engineering in this line was superb. Figures like Terradive, Leader SS, Sidearm Sideswipe made it easy for me to choose HFTD.

RTS, i mean, we finally got Jazz and Wreckgar. Generations is great, but i already had a scourge and kup from botcon 2009.

Jazz is great but Wreckgars awesomeness is over shadowed by the QC issues IMO.

PCC shouldn't even be nominated. :p  I might consider RTS if it had actually gotten released properly.

HftD was the line that "did it" for me. It brought us Battle Blades Prime, Leader Starscream, Terradive, and others. I got a ton of stuff from that line. In fact, most of the transformers that are sitting on my desk right now are from HftD.

Generations, hands down. I've bought and loved every figure from that line except two that I haven't been able to find (Red Alert and Thundercracker).

    Animated. :p

Generations and RTS had enough crossover product to blur the line anyway.

Honestly, while HFTD was a real contender, I picked RTS because it was a perfect blend of all the different styles.

True but what wasn't Classics were repaints mostly from HFTD.

These choices do not matter. They are just names on a box. Toys from all 3 lines fit together. Remove the box and line them up, show them to some kids, and ask them to identify which toys were from which line. Unless they are fans, they probably won't be able to tell them apart.

Not only that, but HftD and RtS are basically the same damn line (the 2010 "yellow box" Transformers line, those are sub-line names, like "unicron battles" or "Allspark Power").

As far as core line Transformers go, I still think Cybertron has been the most successful. Even with the key gimmick, the line in general had a very high degree of success at pretty much every pricepoint. No, they weren't nostalgia fueled, but despite the variety of alt modes, again, it was a damn solid line.

Anymore, the only reason people are saying Generations "is the greatest line EVAH" is because it has catered to nostalgia. Which made the line pretty much boil down to "Decepticon jets" and "Autobot cars" (with a few oddballs here and there, like Warpath and the Cybertronian forms)

I'd knock some points off RTS and Generations for NOT GETTING FULL RELEASE IN MY AREA, so HFTD wins for me.

Again, even as a collector, they are "the same". I don't choose one over another because the names on the package matter not. Heck, Wreck-Gar was in RTS, but his remold will be in Generations later this year. Same toy in both lines. There is no distinction that sets one apart from the other so a true "choice" isn't possible. Either vote is a vote for the same.

So just cuz G1 and G2 use the same molds on some of their figures means they're the same line?
