I've been on kind of a repainting spree lately. My latest one is this guy, who is my attempt to replicate the appearance of Terrorsaur in the Dawn of Future's Past comic from the last Botcon. He wasn't obviously based on any real toy, instead appearing to be a roboticized version of his Beast Wars appearance. The closest match for that was an Energon Skyblast and I think it actually worked out pretty well.

Now, all I need to do is figure out how to stop his paint from smudging when he transforms. I need to find some better varnish...

Nice! I like the crimson shade along with the brighter red. Makes him a bit more visually appealing

You know, i think you pretty much nailed the mold and the look. It works very well with the BotCon aesthetic. If anything, maybe the red is a little too unbroken.

Agreed, that's the only problem with this toy in my opinion. The red needs to be broken up just a little. Aside from that you pretty much were bang on with this custom. Awsome job... not just for the painting but for the choice of mold and colour scheme in genera. Cudos!

Little known fact: I made up the color scheme for that Terrorsaur.

Well-known fact: this is awesome. I'll try to find the flats for that page to show you what colors go where exactly.

Hmmm... you're right. Maybe I should add some more black to his chest to bring out some of the detail a little clearer. The red that I added runs a little with the spots of original color I left and it might need some more contrast...
