So I just got my Igear Not Thundercracker today and its AWSOME like a lot of people have said its better than the Has/Tak versions. The joints are nice and tight nice paint apps, the only issue I have with it is this. When I change it into robot mode. The panel on the back that is supposed to plug into the nose cone doesnt come all the way down and isnt flush in order to plug in it has to sit at an angle. I look on my Hasbro SW to see if I am missing something and I cant tell what I am missing. I am including some pictures to show what I am talking about.
Just fiddle with it as it should lock in just fine. I had the very same issue with the Coneheads and Sunstorm but eventually got them to all straighten out. Just takes a little work is all.
Wait, I count nine on that list. The three original seekers, the three coneheads, and Sunstorm is seven. Who are the other two?
It's tricky, but the nose cone piece slides into the canopy chest piece which allows the nose cone to sit more vertically on his back in bot mode. It's hard to describe exactly: once you have the canopy chest in place and the nose cone more or less parallel on his back, push the two together - sliding the metal bar that connects them into the canopy/chest piece.
All in all not bad but no where near as good as the cone heads the qc is the same as the cone heads but igear really skimped on the paint apps on this one and no stickers.
Right now it looks like IGear is your only choice. TFSource had them but took them off their site for some reason. They must be getting them somehow though as my preorder for all 3 is still in my order page with Thundercracker listed as in stock.
Love this figure, I think the powder blue came out perfect when compared to the g1 cartoon. Now bring on mp11!
Mine too. Here's hoping that TFSource keeps the orders. Though really, you can order all three through iGear for $305 and free shipping, I'm pretty sure my preorders through TFSource will wind up costing me more after shipping.
Depends on how you ship them I guess - I had TC and SS stacked, so it came out to $2.98 more for those two to get them from TF Source instead of iGear. I'm hoping we see something break the silence this week - iGear initially had Traitor with a release date of 1/15, then listed it in stock earlier than that, but I haven't seen anyone with in-hand pics of him yet, so I'm wondering if it's on its way out or not. I figure I won't bug TF Source about my order unless I see a lot of people who ordered through iGear getting theirs.
Actually I've got all three of them stacked at TFSource and altogether the price is $301.78 for them.
I order igear starscream,thundercracker and skywarp from igear.I got shipping conformation that Starscream and thundercracker were shipped a couple days ago.I also was told I had won a golden bee from them.
It's pretty much dead-on: I thought the same thing as soon as I opened the box. I was never a fan of the light blue deco, I always preferred the G1-style blue - there's just something electrifying about it. Still, this is really growing on me, the more I see it as I paint and apply stickers, the more I like it. I'll have pictures after the paint dries, but one thing that makes this figure infinitely better is to give him the black thighs from a US Skywarp junker - the black looks so much better, the silver hips still look good, and it really makes more of a difference than I thought it would. Skywarp might even look better, I'll have to try putting the silver legs on and see.
