Right off the bat I'll say that those who are on the fence but worried about quality I don't think you have anything to worry about. These have the look, feel and (so far) build heft of the real thing and fit right in nicely.

This is mostly pictures as I imagine we are nearly all familiar with the MP Seeker mold on which this is based [completely copied].

First off, packaging: the box is the exact same dimensions of the MP Seekers' give or take a millimeter or two. The interior plastic is the same as well though they added the card board stiffeners to keep it from wrinkling (which my MP TC's plastic did). Placed side by side they make a pretty picture. "Attack's" box was pretty dinged up but the bigger box everyone came in was not so it must have happened on the boat over - the toy was fine.

    On to the jets:

One of the things I never realized from any of the pictures is just how pretty the paint is on these guys. They all have a very subtle metallic sheen to them that doesn't show up well in photos. Elegy/Dirge's wings especially are a very lush, bronze that I was not expecting at all but it looks fantastic. You can just barely tell there's more depth to the paint in the next picture. I don't know how to do it justice other than to say it looks sharp.

These guys still have metal in the same places as the originals - the nose gear/connector and the back "rail".

    Bot mode:

The only change to the sculpt (besides the heads and legs of course) are Prime-like wrist communicators. They have one on each arm with only one repeat. These are neat little additions that take nothing away from the toy. I'd be curious to know if these are random assortments or if everyone has the same stickers across all toys.

    Onslaught? [IMG]

    (Ram)jet: [IMG]

Shockwave (also on Jet's left arm): [IMG]

    Thundercracker: [IMG]

    Megatron: [IMG]

All their faces are the same with no swapping or anything. Also, you'll notice their "cones" are painted on, there's no seam or other detail separating the cone from the rest of the head. Fortunately the lines are clean and they all seem to terminate at the same point along the head so it's not like one has a longer appearing cone than another.

Simply put, I have no buyer's remorse about these guys at all and based on these have preordered not-Sunstorm and Ironhide. The plastic feel is closer to that of the US MP Seekers than the Takara ones which seem to be made of a more brittle feeling plastic to me. Bearing that in mind, these actually feel sturdier than any of the official ones. Everything is tight with good ratchets. Everything fits together snuggly and holds. MP Thundercracker seemed to be the worst of the bunch as parts such as the nose and back panels didn't necessarily line up well - none of these have those problems. The only tiny issue I had was placing the jets on the stands as they are more tail heavy than any of the official Seekers due to their much larger and more rearward wings.

I have only two complaints, neither major but issues nonetheless.

First is a QC issue that I can't get too crazy about as I imagine it could happen to an official product as well. It's still a nuisance considering the price though. I can't say it makes me not recommend these either because I could be the only one it happened to. One of the screw covers is completely missing on Jet. It's nowhere in the box so it must have disappeared somewhere in the production run.

I'll follow up once I find out how hard (if possible at all) it is to get that piece replaced.

The other complaint are the legs. I studied all the pre-production photos and it really looked to me like they adjusted the tails of the aircraft to make up for the fact that they stick out further than the engine nacelles.
    * Edit: I just learned they did adjust them - the whole piece slides up so they can stand normally. Woot!

Lastly more an odd note than anything else but there are no instructions. I guess they figure no one would be buying these that didn't already have the regular MPs but still sort of weird.

I'll continue this post with some of their accessories like the comic books and stickers. As for the other stuff, it's all the same as the MPs: flight stand, regular missiles, gun-Megatron clip and Dr Archeville.

Each bot comes with a ton of stickers. Basically, every tiny little jet detail that was a tampo on the Hasbro/Takara versions is a little sticker on these. They also each come with one sheet of character-specific stickers so I scanned those along with the tech-spec cards. The reverse side of the card just has a bigger picture of the bot and they are made out of credit card grade plastic.

The individual stickers are pretty neat if not really useful on these - I can easily see putting them on some Joe toys or something. Meanwhile, I'll probably have to pick up some reprolabel symbols or something.

Wow man. That is such a nice display.

What I find most impressive is what I actually SEE design wise in the latter 3 seekers that is hard to see in smaller, other incarnations.

Dirge....WOW...what a nice looking jet. LOOOOOOVE the look with no vertical stabilizers. Such a slick, sleek design. Very modern looking.

Ramjet. Was always my least fav, but again...it looks like a rocket plane..built for speed. Very agressive angle of attack on the wings...very...predatory looking. One look and you KNOW this is a bad guy.

Thrust. O my. Once again, lack of vertical stabilizers except on wingtips is soooo sexy. The vtol turbines in the wings look more convincing.

Man...I dunno. I think the best is a toss up between Ramjet and Dirge. Ramjet looks like he could achieve hypersonic speeds. The engines on the wings are so Damn impressive. Dirge looks sooo evil...like...the special plane the "best enemy pilot" would fly. I picture flying Dirge in one of my flight sims, and looking backwards at the smooth fuselage and wings.

That is a real nice collection man...I'm pretty jealous. I'm a plane guy, so I would display them all in plane mode. So Damn nice looking.

I really........really like these man. I know its kinda tacky to ask, but are these real expensive? I have a masterpiece skywarp, and I couldent collect them all, but for the right price I might buy Dirge.

Holy shit.....Dirge and Ramjet look good.

Thanks for the pics and review.

The aircraft tails do slide up on the calves - you haven't moved them up enough. They will slide until the point is even with the exhaust cone.

$362 shipped (to Dallas for me, YMMV) for the three, or $130 each from TF Source, there's a $20 discount for getting two at a time. iGear sells them from their website for $151 each (shipping included)

Wow...A little out of my league. But def worth it to have, what I would call, the most impressive seeker display ever.

Im...just....SO taken with how these look when they are full size. you can REALLY see the design well in this scale and show how unique each is

Just figured out on my "Thrust", that the missiles on the arm cannons can actually come out to simulate being launched. Nice touch.

Yea, these things are amazing! Two little problems though....

    1) the comics make no sense what-so-ever! :lol  (not really a problem)

    2) Be carefull with the stands and bases. Those things are TIGHT! A couple of skinned knuckles and a bruised thigh later, they are a lot looser. But when you first put those stands in the bases, they are in there!

I had to trim mine - the "I" shape on the arm that slides into the base is too fat, shaving down the insides of the I on both sides made it a lot easier. I still think I'll try to track down some extra MP bases one of these days just for the decepticon insignia and the clear arm.

Too true! Two of the comics aren't bad so much as disjointed. Jet's however is just... weird. "anyone need a signature?"? o_O

The stands are tight; I don't use them normally and I just didn't cram them in there for the plane shots.

    Dirge and Thrust arrived yesterday.

It feels good to have all 10 versions of the mold together.

Time to shoot some groupshots and the seeker graveyard

One thing I can't figure out from the pics is whether of not Dirge's and Ramjets wings can be folder back any in robot mode? You know like you can on classics Ramjet (but not Dirge).

If anyone can take a picture of that I'd really appreciate it!

Dirge has the same wing joint that Ramjet has, where it will fold back to 90 degrees from where it sits in plane mode. Thrust has those hinges for his tailfin assembly, and his wings have the same joints a normal MP seeker does. If you fold Ramjet's wings all the way back, the tailfins will get tangled up.

^very cool. I can't do a fleet pic yet because I never opened Starscream - He came out right before my son was born, so I never got around to opening it. Then I couldn't decide if I wanted to keep it, so I left it sealed in case I put it up for sale. Now I'm waiting to see what iGear does with the final 4 model numbers before I decide what to do with him.

My Hasbro Starscream's just fine, and I don't own Skywarp.

These guys feel practically identical to every other version I own (minus the original Takara Starscream, which isn't as good as the rest).
