This took awhile, but I bought a ROTF Leaderclass Jetfire and disassemble it. I reassemble all his parts for the purpose of a super pack kit for ROTF Leaderclass Prime, making Prime fully fuctional as a toy.

But as for Jetfire, he's just parts and armor now. His purpose is to only act as a power-up-kit and he's no longer capable of transforming from robot to plane.

No modifications were done. Everything is simply re-arranged. I was just looking for a way to copy the concept power-up-Prime w/out major mods, or using different parts from other transformers or plane models.

    UPDATE SEP 23, 2009

IF YOU'RE HAVING WEAK LEG BALL JOINT PROBLEMS, I SHOW YOU MY SOLUTION (IT'S AN OBVIOUS ONE).
IF ROTF JET-PRIME IS LEANING TOO MUCH FOWARD AND HIS UPPER BODY HAS TOO MUCH WEIGHT, I HAVE ANOTHER SOLUTION.

PICS POSTED ON PAGE 2 OF THIS THREAD.

:D  that's awesome man. This cuts jetfires bot mode out all together too doesn't it? I don't own the figure yet, so idk how it all goes together and what not.

That is nice. It actually looks like the movie now. I'm too much of a wuss to consider tearing apart the extra Jetfire I bought to try that, so I envy what you pulled off. Very cool.

I have Jetfire and I absolutely hate him! Now I have a reason to take out my frustrations on that figure and still have a cool result! :)  Thanks for this! :thumb

3 layers of super glue on the ankle ball joint ? You're a genius ! I'm gonna try that on mine. So far mine isn't top heavy but i gotta fix those weak ankle joints.

    really nice
he could have been a little more accurate but im sure its just personal opinion if u make it 100 percent like in the movie
    BUT
if u already go ahead and split jetfire into parts i think u should paint him and optimus to make it look really sick ^^

Well, like I said from the begining of this thread. I intentionally wanted this Jet-Prime toy to look similiar to the concept mode WITHOUT having to do any major mods, adding different transformer parts, and any plane models.

Basicly, any transformer fan (especially beginners) is now capable of taking their Jet-Prime to this level of looking-like-a-concept-mode.

Oh yea, I can't paint either. Just not my thing. haha

But I am always looking for other ways to make it closer to a concept version by re-arranging jetfire's parts. I still have a lot of his parts laying around. Perhaps using them to make the main canon somehow.......

    ok in that case ^^
ill found out what irritated me
the thrusters are a little bit to long/sit a little bit to high...
maybe u can do something about that
and if u cant paint then just look around theres alot of tutorials that show u simple techniques
and if everything fails then just keep em like that ^^
and like i said i really love the idea and everything

Well, you can try lowering the engine covers joints a lil lower.

But if it you want it lower than that; then, you have to remove the forearm that supports the engine covers (the forearms give off a expanding-engine-cover look). This will return the part to it's original position (looks like an engine cover in a solid piece with no internal engine).

Or you can use half of the engine covers but it will look kinda funny.

I still will not paint it.

But you can feel free to give it a "ice cream" paint job, haha.

But you are right, the engine covers are kinda high. I hope Fansproject will make an add-on-kit for this Jet-Prime combination......and this Jet-Prime will be perfected.
