Well, he actually gets attached via two notches on the left and right of Primes cab hollow that slip into slots on the legs of Hi-Q. Really, the only way to get him loose as far as I know is to use a little force and pull Hi-Q from the upper center tab.

Carefully. Like all the powermasters he seats in pretty good on the tabs. At best squeeze inwards on both legs and he will usually pop out. At worst a small flat blade knife(dinner not steak) or a small craft screwdriver will pop him out. I have that problem with my powermaster Buster, need to pry the engine out. Overlord is pretty bad for it too. Be gentle but firm, those little guys are pretty tough.

I remember my old Hi-Q was difficult to get to stay in place. Damn little git would shoot off out of Prime's chest while on display for no reason at all. I can't remember if my reissue one did it as well though.

Grats on the purchase. He is a very cool figure. My Ginrai stays in pretty snug but doesn't take much effort to take out. This is one of my favorite G1 figures by far though

Don't forget Hi-Q was a wild old man with crazy white hair.

How many of them do you know that'll stay put and do as their told?

He's like the Doc Brown of the TF Universe.

Was like that right out of the box and brand new when I got it way back in the G1 days.
