Hey everyone! Happy new year! I just finished my powerglide's detailing. I detailed the gaps between his panels and rivets by painting them black. Let me know what you think.

That looks nice. The panel marks add so much depth to the plastics. Good job!

Yes, panel-lining is a great addition and you did a great job.

Man, I'm sorry to be a negative nilly here.

No, take what I say with a grain of salt... especially in light of a great painter's (Sabrina Ng's) post.

Personally, while I agree that the paneling and rivets add quite a bit to the figure, I think so far all the black is a bit heavy and extremely contrasty. Perhaps if you had some additional weathering- like dirt smears or something- to complement the paneling.

Don't think I'm trashing your work tho.

Amazing what a few black lines can do. Is that all you did to him?

Yeah, that's all I did. It maybe took me an hour and a half at most. Not hard at all.

For anyone who wants to know, I am currently working on energy battle axes for my ROTF prime. They are to replace the energy swords on prime (which I dislike) to resemble those carried by G1 Prime. Keep an eye out.

I love when the little details like that are brought out, and yeah, maybe the black is a little harsh, maybe to try brown instead?
But really, it does look good. I'd like to see these axes you speak of!

I'll have to agree with bellpeppers; though it's very nicely done, to me it's abit too much. It's just a matter of personal taste I guess, again this isn't to belittle your skills!

PS: having looked him over again, I think the lining works better in robot mode than plane mode.

My only thought...panel line the head as well.
Otherwise it looks great. I love panel lining.
