    Powerglide WIP*Now w/ 28% less Kibble*

    Hi All,

So for some reason I actually busted this out over the last few hours. Like many, I was unhappy w/ Hasbro's Powerglide. I had this idea for some time, just never figured out how to do it. Well, today it hit me...

...here are some WIP shots, please let me know what you think before I go any further.

Big ups to all the Superion's going around, they were some influence.

    ***Update 2/6***
Moved the arms down and added some bits and pieces to fill in holes...
    ...still working...

    ***Update 2/9***
-Added some more bits to fill in the Kibble (on the sides and chest mostly)
-Used some Apoxy putty to fill out the wings and make a face (working on getting a G1 off eBay to redo the head at a later time).

    NOW I'M GONNA PAINT!!!

    ***Update 2/11***
    -Primer Shots

    ***Update 2/13***
    -Test 1st Coat shots

Shoulders are sitting a little high up, but other than that, he looks awesome. Never would have thought of this!

Wow! This guy surprised me when I first looked at him...took a nice direction. Yet another way to change up the seekers. These molds are slowely turning into the sunstreakers of the air - can modify them in all directions. Great job of attaching tankor's wings.

If I had to give some feedback, is there anyway to lower the arms in robot mode?

Overall, I like where you took this guy.

Wow, quick responses...Thanks a bunch everyone!

So, the arms...yes I have gone back and forth with positioning, I'm still on the undecided side. Only using small amount of superglue for now, so I can crack it off w/ out issues. I'll take some shots w/ it moved down, but it makes the ALT mode look a little funny.

Painting will happen someday in the future :(

Yeah, I passed on Powerglide as well.

This looks great. I might have to put this on my to-do list.

Looks like you kicked hasbro's butt by making a better powerglide :)  Atleast your Powerglide is scaled with the deluxes in bot mode :)

    Thanks a lot!

HAHA. I bought Octane because my Decpicons looked a little light compared to the Autobots...now I'm happy I did so, the wing config is what help me get to this point. Bought a 2nd one just to do this.

I decided to paint this weekend, more pics soon! Thanks again everyone!

I actually liked Powerglide. I just look at this as a deluxe version Hasbro should consider doing in the future. Really nice work.

Well, it'd cause a small hole in the wings, but it ought to be simple enough to cut a bit out of each wing and attach the arms with a wide-head screw. That way you just slide the arms up or down to look nice in both modes.

Nice idea, but I don't think I can pull that off right now. However, I did remove the existing setup and tonight I am repositioning them lower.

No Problem Duder, just ask or PM me...that goes for anyone, I would love to see more of these!
