I will get another Jetfire and cut him up. I would like to use a Matrix APU for the feet but I can't find one at a reasonable price. I'm still in the planning stages but this is what I have so far: Hakka. Some updates: Update: Started working on this again, some updates: Hakka.
THOSE APU'S ARE RIDICULOUS!!! Man, I think this is the first time I have seen so many non-transforming custom done. This is looking good. The only thing I would suggest is to purchase the 1/48 scale SR-71. Same price as leader Jetfire but the scale is almost perfect!!!
This is lookin' great so far. Jetfire's feet (that is what you used, right?) works very well. The shoulder armor/nosecone pieces look too small, though.
I'm using an older Prime that I will strip down and repaint, he was my first attempt at Prime and the paintwork is very rough. Hakka.
Yes, they are jetfires feet. I thought the nosecone pieces looked too big so I cut them down a bit Hakka.
Added a few more bits, ignore those guns on his arms. The X1 Tie fighter is great, all the angles are spot on for this job, no need to heat and bend plastic I'm tempted to throw a leader Megatron into the mix, there's a few bits on him that would work very well. Hakka.
that is going to be alot of work man.. but totally worth it. I wish I had the imagination to do something like that. great job!
What did you use for the wings on the sides of the podracer? You should consider getting something bigger, they should be equal in size to the afterburners.
