What he meant is that PR and Kamen riders are from 2 different shows...hence the "concept" is different. Of course, the only similarity that they (PR and Kamen Riders) have is that they are "toku" shows...something like "live action" shows in Japan i.e. where live actors are involved.
PR is an adaption of a toku, its not a toku show itself. When it comes to Japanese toku shows everyone tends to lump them in with Power Rangers. Its not really worth arguing over since it tends to just go back and forth.
They are from a live action show from Japan. The studio who makes Super Sentai also produces Kamen Rider. People like to equate Super Sentai with Power Rangers, even though that is not true. Anyway, in Kamen Rider Hibiki, the main characters use discs that transform to various animals to scout out the kaijin.
You might not remember a show called "Masked Rider", but it was an adapation of the toku "Kamen Rider Black."
Humanoid monsters, if you will. They are the "bad guys" you can say. The theme of the series is music, so those disc monsters are like cd's, though they are actually read with a needle-like device ala vinyl records. The reality is, Bandai needed merchandise so I'd imagine they were REALLY created for that purpose, becuase they really do jack shit other then tracking.
My GekiHaul came from Japan today. So now I present my Geki Animals (just missing GekiShark) And the Geki Mechs
It can combine as a Leg. I just don't have a pic of it doing it. In the show, it took the place of the Cheetah for the episode it first appeared in.
Seeing GekiWolf makes me realize how Disney's gonna handle next year's Power Rangers, called Jungle Fury. Will they make the Violet Ranger a chick!? Or will it stay as a guy? Because Koragg from Mystic Force seemed to make Purple a guy color quite well.
What all animals are there? Some of them are pretty obvious, others, not as much. Either way, those are really neat. Also, is there a new ranger for each color?
only red, yellow, blue, and violet. shark, elaphantand bat belong to red, yellow and blue respectively the lion and lizard belong to the villans.
I don't own the lion but yes, it can! Looks cool...I was thinking of picking up the lion just a few days ago!
RinLion can connect to GekiFire...but I don't think all the parts (the lion head) snap on correctly. RinLion was made special for GekiTouja and was only seen in the GekiRanger movie.
The two main mechs are... GekiTouja- GekiTiger, GekiCheeta, & GekiJaguar GekiFire- GekiGorilla, GekiGazell, & GekiPenguin (w/ surfboard) The other animals are armorment that can combine w/ either Touja or Fire to provide armor/weapons. These consist of... GekiShark (which I do not own) GekiElephant GekiBat GekiWolf belongs to the fourth GekiRanger (that just appeared last week in Episode 25). It can become an additional leg for either Touja or Fire. RinLion & RinChamelion are the "evil guys" animals. They were only shown in the GekiRanger movie, and were only shown combined with GekiTouja. And while you can kinda fudge them together, they were never really ment to connect w/ GekiFire.
