Power Rangers - Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Shinken-oh

I finally completed painting my Candy Toy Shinken-oh. It's my first custom ever (literally!) and it's tremendously sloppy and poor (particularly Saru, the monkey) but I'm happy I'm finally done. Sorry for the poor photography.

The last picture is a comparison between how it would look like unpainted (taken from Henshin Justice Unlimited forums) and the painted result.

Special thanks to Superquad7, amd098, and hXcpunk23 for helping me at the customs forums. From this thread.

It doesn't look bad at all in the pictures. Guess it might be a little sloppier in person though.

Wish I could do mine like that, but nothing I ever paint comes out looking half as good...

It looks good. Just remember if you have a custom, post it in Radicons. If it's not a Transformers custom, simply use the "Non-TF" tag :)

Thanks. Sorry, I didn't think a simple repaint, let alone a less-than-decent one, was worth putting in the Customs section. But thank you very much.

My first custom! Oh joy! Haha.

I don't see why you'd think that! There are a multitude of customs in Radicons, displaying a skill level from notice to expert. I always want persons to think their work is worth posting in Radicons :)

Thanks guys! This is actually from the Japanese version (the original) of Power Rangers called Super Sentai. This is the 2009 incarnation, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

The robot is called Shinken-oh, so to find it in online stores, it would be called a "Candy Toy Shinken-oh". These things come in boxes and you have to assemble them from model kits, much like Gundam figures. They also lack colors so you'll have to use the provided stickers, or paint your own details in. I bought mine on eBay, but other shops such as CS Toys has them too.

To know more about Shinkenger, the opening in this link should give you a taste of what it's like: YouTube - Samurai Sentai Shinkenger - Opening Sequence. Also the guys at TFW2005's Toyark's Power Rangers thread are very helpful.

Thanks again! I appreciate it very much!
