Got this guy along with Rodimus Prime last night...

Transformed him this morning, and some thoughts...

Grimlock's T-Rex mode is just soooo bad. Well, everything from his waist down anyway as those combiner ports just make his tail and legs look weird. Not to mention that clear plastic for the robot chest/lower dino. I forsee a lot of broken PotP Grimlocks in the years to come cause of that flimsy clear plastic.

Still, we got a new Grimlock...we're getting new Dinobots in G1 style again...

Now the wait for PotP Sludge and Snarl to come out... Not for the combiner mode, just to have a complete set of Dinobots again. Could care less about Volcanus.

My only gripe with this figure is the added width to the Dino legs for the combiner ports and the crazy wide hips in dino mode.

The hips are my biggest issue but really it’s a pretty decent figure otherwise and I really don’t get the “gap-tastic” comments especially considering the hollow monstrosity that is FoC Grimlock.

I got my POTP grimlock but i have a red piece that popped off yesterday when i opened him up that i can't find out where it goes. I think i seen it in the directions as it's for combine mode i think.

A photo would help tremendously. Can you provide one?

Only red piece that I know that can come off easily is The piece that cover the combiner head in dino mode and forms part of the neck plate in combiner mode.

Mine flips off super easy if I’m not careful.

I like that you can put Titan Masters in his mouth.

Yes the red piece is likely the one that goes on weird when you revel the combiner head.

BTW I ve taken to giving the Combined mode the big club tail weapon from the SDCC Chrome Dinobots set and its works real well.

Here's another option for those of us with just one Slash to combine. The combiner neck plate joint holds her pretty effectively and doesn't interfere with turning the head, with just a barely noticeable downward tilt.

That settles it. I'll have to buy a 2nd Slash, paint the red torso blue, and call her Sever.

Since they are both on mushroom pegs, has anyone tried to replace the dino legs from foc grimlock onto potp? The plastic doesnt match but im wondering if he can look better if you ditch the combiner port.

Yep thats it but i THINK i got it in cause it folds down by the combiner head. If you can show a pic I'd explain the best i can. I have the piece in where that head is folded down and its held in place by only the holes on either side of the figure that the piece sets into. I hope that helps but i can't give a pic since not sure how to upload one and show arrows in pic on where I'm talking about. I'm really grateful that you guys wanna help. So thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart.

    Picked this one up.

It's way better than pics or the general concensus. Volcanus makes a decent torso. It's a decent T-rex. And it's a pretty good bot mode.

This one shits all over that POS fall of Cybertron one. I like it.

Seriously. It’s not perfect but I have zero idea how people can like the gappy PoS better than this one.

The light up function was neat but that’s about it.

It was big, lacked good articulation, the knees were wonky, the thighs were too thin and it was made of the world's thinnest plastic.

    Weapons we're cool

Oh man. After seeing @MadMaximus picture above, I realised that the different connections create so much play value!

Cool idea. I'm surprised we haven't seen that in any photos yet.

Alright so after only having this a week the shoulder ratchets are starting to wear out due to the cheap soft plastic inside does anyone have any ideas how to prevent or fix this?
