Man after seeing the pics of abominus that the guys took from nycc, it had me excited. Just as much when I used to climb the rope in gym class (LMAO). It made me feel all fuzzy inside like it was 1987 all over again. Then those others wow,....my mouth just dropped cause part of it was that nycc exclusive monster bot figure. That I almost lost if I didn't listen to my woman. So I bought it quickly and then sells out and she ends up be right. She don't even collect and seems to know more about the hobby than I do on when to buy and wait it out.

Okay, so yes, $20 is a tad extreme...

-- and Unicorn farts seem to be an accurate explanation of the stock market, rn...

But executive heads aren't rolling in the real world, 'cos executives approved these decisions & prices, Hasbro is still WRECKING by comparison to their closest competitor, Mattel, and the markup from manufacturing cost is a battle consumers lost somewhere around 1950 (to our eventual benefit, it being that none of this would be around, nor would mass-production have proven feasible/valuable enough to continue, had things panned out differently).

I dunno - seems to me like their company is very much still a thing, and like they'll be able to sell these iffy-looking Terrorcons to anyone who doesn't already get nauseous thinking about more CW repaints & awkward gestalt limbs! (Oooh, CW-Burn!)

I like the cgi pictures because it means they're always correctly transformed. Actual product pictures very often are mistransformed because the photographer has no clue what he or she is doing.

First thought: They're calling him Sinnertwin again? Is this going to be another Gundam Deathscythe Mk 2 scenario?
Second thought: Aw man Hun-Gurrr's back feet are pinned in. Guess popping them off and turning them around is too much to ask for, huh?
Final thought: $20 deluxes. Hoo buy. I might be out. I got tuition to pay. I don't like it, but this might be it for me.

They'll probably retail for ~$15 at WalMart and Target. Assuming they actually bother to stock up on them.

In the card art, what are all those little icons floating above each Terrorcon?

Those are the same symbols that appear on the Prime Masters.

Considering TLK MSRP was $19.99, yet Walmart charged (at least in my area) the normal deluxe price, I’m not worried.

So for those that have followed other lines like Marvel Legends or other series that experience price hikes, how did these price hikes tend to go? Did the prices eventually tend to go down after a while? I don't mean like eventually going to clearance, I mean start prices during the different iterations of the line. I hope like others have said that some retailers will only be selling them for $15. If not I don't know how many I can realistically pick up. I only picked up a few of the Takara figures in the past, but it seems weird to me to go with an even more expensive alternative in protest of a slight price hike relatively. Anyway I'm excited to see these figures and hopefully I can get them at a reasonable price.

I always figured Blot was a cave troll of some type.

It would be funny if you went through all the steps and wound up with something that more closely resembled Superion, colors and all.

Just kinda sitting there for a few minutes, looking back and forth between your Terrorcon team and the Superion on your shelf going, "how in the hell...?"

While price increases are hardly fun, neither are they unexpected or apocalyptic. I do sympathize with people who are on tighter budgets.

That said, I rarely saw CW deluxes going for under $20 anyway. Sure, some of that was eBay or online retailer markup, but I really never expected to get deluxes for $16-$18. (Was it nice when I could find package deals? Sure. But I didn't expect it.)

Hasbro's being annoying with this, yeah. But those of us who really want them ASAP will bite the bullet ... and some might be well-advised to wait a bit and see if they can get deals online or at a brick-and-mortar store.

Wow, just had another look at Hun-Gurr. He's insanely similar to Silverbolt.
