Almost every line gets one, he was in the poll, you Could do an evolution of him across incarnations... I'm ready for a Leader and don't want to backtrack to the CW one.

 

You're not wrong, but there are builds, even amongst humans, that look like men or women. I'm not saying all emails should look like Barbie, but there is a spectrum of body types and the is a small bit of overlap for men and women where under the right circumstances it's hard to tell the difference.

Off-Road is in that place where it could be a young athletic woman or a young lean man.

These were our other candidates. Personally, I would love an Ultra Magnus. Hound and Arcee are odd choices, in my opinion. I would have expected Dai Atlas or Thunderclash, who as many said, wielded the Matrix at one point.

 

I wonder if there's still a chance we'll see some of the candidates get exclusive figures from places like SDCC,Hascon,etc from remolded POTP figures like Arcee from POTP Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus from POTP Optimus Prime? Sort of like how we got TR Arcee and Grotusque last year as retools from existing TR figures.

 

Instead of the Ironhide pickup, I could see Strongarm being repainted from First Aid. Rescue SUV with light bar easily repainted to a police SUV with light bar.

 

Besides Megatron, I would like to see an evolution leader class of a decepticon or 2.

 

I hope we'll see Ultra Magnus at least whether he's exclusive or retail. I could use a new one since the CW one was eh and I haven't been able to find the X2 Toys upgrades.

I doubt we'll get any of the candidates though since this is technically CW 2.0 with some TR sprinkled in(The Primemasters), so we're most likely getting two boxsets or more of some Combiners and two deluxes that will come with a Primemaster and their Pretender shell as exclusives.

 

It's very unlikely. The vote would be pointless otherwise. It's not that I don't want them; I thought that Hound and Arcee were brilliant choices unlike predictable guys such as Ultra Magnus because of how noble the two were (loved the idea of a mama bear character leading the Autobots akin to the fatherly Optimus) and in the case of Hound, how the stories wrote themselves.

Then again, they must have already had designs out and ready. The vote happened how long before POTP? It would be cool if we can still "pick our Prime" (even if it's more difficult and not official) because the fan pick is so boring. Plus, Deathsaurus, Star Saber and Thunderwing are there.

 

I think had Magnus won, he’d have been the standard White Prime into an upgraded armored form beyond what we saw in G1.

I wouldn’t rule out a retool of Pax now that’s a white cab that becomes armored Magnus and transforms into a giant white Optimus since that’s less retooling.

I personally find that likelier than a SG Optimus Unicronus or Nemesis Prime. Because I think Rodimus Cron is supposed to be represent more than an evil repaint and it would cheapen him if Optimus does the same thing.

 

I put the Warrior RID Strongarm head on Rook and it really does work as a female figure. No repainting needed as the blue matches almost perfectly. The only thing I has to do was add a bit of filler into the socket so the smaller neck ball would fit snugly so a Strongarm/Rook isn't completely out of the question.

 

That's a very good idea.

 

I think had I known what type of toy/gimmick we were getting at the time of that poll, I would have voted totally differently. As much as I want an Optimus Primal toy, the evolution gimmick would have fit better on Thunderwing, Ultra Magnus, Star Saber or even Megatron.

 

As big a Beast Wars fan as I am, I have to agree.

I reckon I'd have voted for Thunderwing.
