I think either:

A. designs are already made for each figure and Prime is just a designation, of whose toy will be shown at Toyfair as a preview to PotP...or...

B. Only the winner will get a toy for sure and we'll just end up with a placard with some art showing off the next Prime for PotP.

There also C. each character has two toys planed out, one is a smaller size class and one in a bigger size class, and the winner of the fan vote gets the big toy made while the others get the smaller toy made.

 

That's a lot of work with little payoff, though. I doubt that much time and money was put into this.

 

There's also D. The line will include figures of the Thirteen Primes, and the poll winner will be a remold of one of them.

If the Thirteen have the Headmaster gimmick, it's possible that all nine candidates have Titan Masters already made of them. Hasbro just sticks the winner's head on the Thirteen's body and they have a full figure to show off at Toy Fair. There's even enough time to hand-paint it in its production colors.

 

Can see it for Magnus not the others. Thirteen is Optimus Prime or do you mean one off the thirteen primes.

 

I mean one of the Thirteen Primes. Say Deathsaurus wins. Hasbro (in theory) has a Deathsaurus Titan Master and an Onyx Prime figure. They put the Titan Master on the Onyx body, paint it blue, and say "Here's Deathsaurus Prime!" If Star Saber wins, they take their (theoretical) Star Saber Titan Master, put it on their Vague-Jet-Former Prime body, paint it white, and say "Here's Saber Prime!" Same for the other two.

 

Me too. It would be a nice way for people to at least get the Prime they wanted as a toy if not in fiction. I love the idea of having a toy of Arcee as a Prime

The other ones are clearly paid protestors. The Anti-Saber riots are salt of the earth genuine.

 

I feel like no matter how this vote turns out, someone will be unhappy. I hope people don't actually freak out and doubt they will, but won't pass judgment on the people if such a thing occurs.

 

When was the last time the TF fandom was 100% satisfied? I'll tell you. 1985.
