That would make sense if the listings for the toys of months ago it's true.

I thought the whole point was picking the next toy. That's how it was when we voted for Titan class Tripticon, and when we voted for Victoron and Windblade.

If Primal did win but does not get a toy then what was the point of Hasbro, a toy company, running the vote?

Seriously? I mean Deathsaurus I get since we already have a rumor of him getting a toy and Star Saber following suit makes perfect sense but not giving Primal a new toy of his own is a giant slap in the face for those who voted him and hoped it'll mean having a new Generations figures. I hope that part isn't true though if it is I hope that they'll at least release MP Primal in the states to make up for it.

Would not surprise me - polls like this tend to be smokescreens for what Hasbro decides behind the scenes anyway without any proof of hard numbers in the results.

 

He'll get a toy. He wouldn't have been in the vote if it wasn't an option. Even if its just a Voyager Apeface body with a sticker on it that says "Soon to be retooled" shown off at Toy Fair, Primal will get a toy.

 

Yeah, Apeface into Optimus Primal (original, transmetal, or Optimal Optimus) and Snapdragon into Megatron (original, TM, or TM2) would be awesome.

Also, this rumour is utterly ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. They did to see who'd sell, why wouldn't they sell him? But the thing about Mp Primal allegedly not selling is interesting, if that were happen to a Generations Primal, one the fans voted for no less, didn't sell then that would almost certainly gut any chance of a second beast era. I don't really want a second beast era, but I'd feel for the people who do.

 

Yeah, again it's a rumor. I personally, love Beast Wars and I grew up with G1. I'd love a new interpretation of Primal, but I'd also happily welcome new Star Saber and Deathsaurus toys. So whoever wins, I win too. Beast Wars held a special place in my heart because it was the first toy line I shared with cousins and friends at school. Before that, no kids I knew followed G1 or G2 except me and my older brother. They were more focused on Jurassic Park, Mighty Max, Creepy Crawlers, or Batman:TAS (but I also watched those shows/movies and bought those toy lines too back in the 90's).

Maybe Hasbro just wants to give us the Newest characters right now for America? We've already recently had a new Ultra Magnus and we JUST got Masterpiece Optimus Primal PLUS a repaint with new parts on the way, so I can see why yet another figure would seem redundant. Maybe a new Primal and Magnus would come at the end of this new line? I am really digging that idea of using a potential Apeface as a future repaint/remold for Primal. We could get a nice new take on Optimal Optimus out of that.

I was wondering about something just now. Whoever wins will we be able to get the rest of the contestants like Arcee,Hound,Magnus,Shockwave,and Thunderwing get figures that represents them as Primes in the PotP line? I know that the winner will get a figure of them as a Prime but will the rest get the same treatment as well regardless who wins? After all if they already have toys or at least designs of them made I can't see them not being used one way or another like as retools of other Prime characters like for example Arcee Prime being retooled into Solus Prime or vice versa.

 

You realize he hasn't won yet?

 

G2 Megatron would be awesome.

maybe the reason Primal isn't getting a toy is because Hasbro is gonna release his Masterpiece toy!

 

Maybe we should just wait how the reality turns out instead of jumping to conclusions on a rumor.
